Security personnel at the International Airport here swung into action after the Jeddah office of Saudi Airlines alerted the Bureau of Civil Aviation Securities (BCAS) about an anonymous bomb threat to a flight operating from India to Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Airlines authorities reportedly informed the BCAS of the threat, the authenticity of which could not be confirmed, airport sources said.
The BCAS subsequently alerted all the airports in the country about the threat, the sources said adding that, it was also not clear whether the threat was to any specific flight, they said.
Security measures have been strengthened in and around Kochi airport from Friday night onwards. Additional CISF and police personnel have been deployed. All vehicles approaching the airport were being checked thoroughly, the sources said.
I STILL FEEL THAT IRAN IS PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS AND IS GETTING THEIR STOOGES OVERSEAS TO STAGE AS MANY TERROR ATTACKS AS POSSIBLE OVERSEAS IN ORDER TO GET THE WEST TO DIVERT ITS ATTENTION FROM THEIR WAVE OF DOMESTIC/INTERNAL TERROR.
AND I THINK ATTACKING THE SAUDIS IS ONE FRONT. AND I FEEL THAT THIS THREAT AGAINST SAUDI AIRPORTS IS OF IRANIAN ORIGIN.
