SECURITY FORCES WRECK "ILLEGAL" BUILDINGS AT MA'ALE REHAVAM

Another disgrace committed by Israeli authorities while illegal structures by Muslims are otherwise ignored:

Security forces completed the demolition of 10 illegal structures in the West Bank outpost of Ma’ale Rehavam, south of Jerusalem, Wednesday afternoon, after the High Court rejected a claim by settlers that the land was purchased legally.

[...] The Jewish Home party called for the immediate cessation of demolitions of Jewish structures in the West Bank. “The demolition of homes in Judea and Samaria must stop immediately,” a statement from the party read. “There cannot be selective and vigorous law enforcement in which they destroy homes in Judea and Samaria, while thousands of illegal Bedouin homes are left standing.”

[...] The demolition of the structures, which were built on private Palestinian land near larger settlements, comes six months after the High Court of Justice ruled that they were illegal.

What if they weren't? Besides, look who pushed for this:

The ruling to tear down the structures came a decade after the structures were built, and six years after Peace Now filed a petition calling on the government to evacuate six West Bank outposts: Givat Asaf, Mitzpeh Yitzhar, Ramat Gilad, Ma’ale Rehavam, Givat Hara’a, and Mitzpeh Lachish.

When they were built, all six outposts became subject to a “delineation order,” an injunction stipulating that the state can evacuate them at any given moment. In 2007, Peace Now pushed for the state to act on the injunction, and in early 2011 the state finally agreed to evacuate all structures built on privately owned land.

Peace Now is the cancer of modern times. They may not even be legal entity, so that only makes this all the more atrocious.

Mariam Yahya Ibrahim was charged with apostasy as well as adultery for marrying a Christian man, something prohibited for Muslim women to do and which makes the marriage void.

EHUD OLMERT SENTENCED TO 6 YEARS IN PRISON

If it goes through, he'll be the 1st former prime minister to wind up behind bars:

TEL AVIV, Israel — An Israeli court sentenced former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to six years in prison for his role in a bribery scandal, capping the stunning downfall of a politician who just a few years ago hobnobbed at the White House and claimed to be close to reaching a historic peace agreement with the Palestinians.

What garbage. All he did was commit dhimmitude.

Olmert, the first prime minister sentenced to prison, is set to become the latest in a string of top Israeli politicians to serve time for serious crimes. The scandals have fueled a feeling of public sorrow over the state of the country's political system mixed with relief that no one is above the law. [...]

Olmert was convicted in March in a wide-ranging case that accused him of accepting bribes to promote a controversial real-estate project in Jerusalem. He was charged for acts while he was mayor of Jerusalem and national trade minister, years before he became prime minister in 2006.

Olmert has denied wrongdoing, and his lawyer said they would appeal Tuesday's sentence to the Supreme Court.

The six-year sentence was the maximum sought by prosecutors. Olmert also was ordered to pay a $290,000 fine. Judge David Rozen, a Tel Aviv district court judge, accused Olmert of undermining the public's trust as he delivered the punishment.

"A public servant who accepts bribes is akin to a traitor," Rozen said. "This is a man who was on top of the world. He served as prime minister, the most important position, and from there he reached the position of a man convicted of criminal offenses."

Olmert appeared stunned as he walked out of the courthouse without speaking to reporters. Rozen ordered him and several co-defendants to report to prison on Sept. 1.

Hope he doesn't try to flee the country beforehand, or he'll be fit for additional time in the pen. He's had this punishment coming to him for a long time now. Finally, he's getting what he asked for, after he sold out this country and endangered it.

CANADA SHOULDN'T ALLOW SYRIA JIHADISTS TO RETURN

ABU HAMZA AL-MASRI PINS THE BLAME ON HIS EX-WIFE FOR JIHAD

The terror-directing imam whose hands got blown off told the US court where he's standing trial that his wife's responsible for his turn to jihadism:

Handless hate preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri was living “on the wrong side of morality” — working as a bouncer for a London strip club — until his first wife led him on a path to jihad.

Testifying at his terror trial in Manhattan federal court Wednesday, the one-eyed, Egyptian-born cleric said he married a non-Muslim Brit in the early ’80s who hated his “not very respectful lifestyle.” So she sought advice from his Islamic friends.

“They told her, ‘If you ask him to teach you Islam, he will spend more time with you,’” testified al-Masri, 56.

The extra time the couple spent studying Islam didn’t salvage the marriage — but did lead al-Masri on the path to become a well-known imam, he said.

The thrice-married al-Masri didn’t say why they divorced, but ex-wife Valerie Olga Macias has blamed their 1984 split on the cleric’s alleged affair with a hooker.

I'm not surprised he's trying to scapegoat his ex-wife for his abominations. Her quest for advice from other Muslims - according to his testimony - doesn't sound very plausible either.

Al-Masri, bereft of his hook-like prosthetic, raised his right stump to be sworn in before testifying.

Asked to define “jihad,” he said, “to struggle in the cause of God.”

Defense lawyer Joshua Dratel brought up previous comments al-Masri made about it being OK to lie to non-Muslims.

But al-Masri said he’s “no stranger to prison” and would rather stay incarcerated than lie “under oath.” “If my freedom comes at the expense of my dignity and beliefs, I don’t want it,” he said.

I think he's committing taqqiya just so he can be incarcerated.

DOZENS OF LEV TAHOR MEMBERS MOVING TO GUATEMALA

It looks like Lev Tahor is clearing out of Canada, and moving along with a few other cultists to Guatemala, where they may be more welcome. The brother of a woman belonging to the cult traveled there to find her, but so far, he hasn't convinced her to leave:

The children’s uncle recently travelled from Israel to see the family in the village of San Juan de Laguna, a two-hour-trip east of Guatemala City. He said he counted about 30 adults living in a two- or three-room shack.

The man — referred to as K, because a youth court has ordered the identities of the children to be protected — spent a month in Guatemala from March 27 to April 30 tracking down the whereabouts of his sister.

He made several visits to the shack before he was finally permitted to speak with her.

“Armed with a metal bar for protection, I told her that if she did not come out, I would break in. So she finally agreed to come outside and talk with me,” the man said through a Hebrew interpreter Friday.

Speaking from Israel, K said he was distraught by his sister’s psychological state.

“It seemed like she had no emotions,” he said. “I hadn’t seen her in more than three years, but to her the visit seemed normal, like nothing special.”

He said he also saw his nephew who appeared dirty, hungry and covered in bug bites.

Speaking to some members of the local Jewish community in the village, K found out that the children were sleeping on the dirt floor of the shack, and that there is no plumbing; they receive barrels of fresh water once a week.

K said he saw community leaders Yoil Weingarten, Mayer Rosner and Uriel Goldman there, and believes they also now live in the Central American country.

[...] K’s sister had been contacting the family regularly when she was living in Canada, but her cellphone was taken away by the sect’s leadership when she left the country, he said.

She was given a phone about a week ago, and used it to call her parents in Israel to ask for money.

K said he wanted to remove his sister and her children from the sect, but she refused to go with him, saying the situation “wasn’t simple.”

It's terrible this poor woman is so indoctrinated with such Muslim-style mishmash, she refuses her brother's help to go live in better conditions, and forces her own children to live in such misery too. And who knows if the local authorities will avail? For all we know, they'll probably let this futile charade continue, unless more international sources can be convinced to help out.

A former top CIA official on Wednesday accused Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), recently tapped to lead a House select committee on the Benghazi terror attack, of having "a number of his facts wrong" on the case. 

"I was hopeful that the House investigative committee would come to its task with an open mind and with a desire to find the truth, but it appears that at least Mr. Gowdy has already made up his mind on certain points," former acting CIA Deputy Michael Morell told CNN. 

During an interview with the same network earlier Wednesday, Gowdy said he wanted Morrell to explain why he had made certain edits to a set of talking points used by then-U.N. ambassador Susan Rice to explain the 2012 attack, which left four Americans dead. In her interviews, Rice said preliminary intelligence indicated that the violence grew spontaneously from protests over an anti-Islam YouTube video; the administration later acknowledged the attack was preplanned. 

Gowdy said Morell had not explained why he edited those talking points to change the word "terrorist" to "extremist" or the word "attack" to "demonstration." 

"Every single change that Mike Morell made was calculated to cast the administration in a more favorable light," Gowdy said.

In 2010, President Obama signed into law the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act. The bill added $4.5 billion to child-nutrition programs over the next decade, put in place nutrition standards for school lunch programs and vending machines, and implemented training for the cafeteria workers who feed 31 million students a day through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs. 

It received bipartisan support, and was hailed as a compassionate victory for America’s poorest children. 

The bill was also, however, a potentially good development for mega bank JP Morgan Chase. Why, you may be wondering, would one of the nation’s biggest banks benefit from a bill meant to feed poor children? A closer look at the legislation reveals the answer. 

The bill mandates that “all state agencies implement Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) systems by October 1, 2020” for those receiving money through the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. And which company administers nearly half of all states’ EBT programs? You guessed it: JP Morgan Chase. 

We seldom think of poverty programs as profit centers, preferring to discuss them as matters of ideology. Liberals view programs like WIC—which provides food to both pregnant mothers and mothers of young children—as the mark of a compassionate nation. 

Conservatives see them as a gateway to government dependency. 

Arguably, they may fit either of those descriptions. But as with so many other government programs in Washington, both WIC and its close cousin, the federal food stamp program, have morphed into something else: cash cows for powerful corporate interests.

In her book Some Girls: My Life in a Harem, Jillian Lauren, 36, explained how she was picked to be Jefri's mistress.

Before turning 17, Lauren had dropped out of school to become a stripper. During her career, she was offered $20,000 (£11,785) to perform for a Singaporean businessman.

She soon understood that the man she had to entertain was not a Singaporean, but the Brunei prince.

"[The job] was an invitation to be the personal guest of the notorious playboy prince Jefri Bolkiah, the youngest brother of the Sultan of Brunei," Lauren told the Daily Beast.

"The prince threw lavish parties every night. At these parties there was drinking (which was not legal in public), dancing, some fairly hilarious karaoke, and, most important, women—about 30 or 40 beauties from all over the world, comprising a harem of sorts.

Lauren, who has returned to her hometown, suggested that the prince and sultan might not be willing to observe the laws they have implemented.

"It is the privilege of the prince and the sultan to misbehave," she said. "As the citizens of Brunei face the erosion of their rights, I imagine the man I once knew, holed up in a posh hotel suite somewhere, maybe with another American teenager in his lap, making laws that legislate morality."

Certainly it's possible. This has got to be commonplace among many overlords, to keep personal pleasure options solely for themselves while their subjects are denied the same.

The Eurovision Song Contest is a huge, annual, transnational, media event that was originally created to foster popular European music culture and industry.  In the beginning, competing nations had to sing in their native tongue and entrants often offered music with an indigenous flavour.  As the years have passed, the music has become more homogeneous, and the language of choice, for the singers, and the on-air hosts, has become english. As far as being a bulwark against english language pop culture is concerned Eurovision  is a failure.

What it has become is its own kitsch universe, that exists in a bubble, and is only fully understood by the Captains of Camp - the gay community.  This fact is clearly understood by DR, whose TV Hosts play up to gay sensibilities:

The most interesting aspect of the show is observing the Regional Voting habits of Europe, as citizens who are unable to vote for their own country inevitably reveal cultural alliances in the voting statistics.

And the most important thing we can learn from Eurovision is that government subsidized Culture (in the case of Eurovision, to the tune of $100 million per year) is a complete fiasco.  Very few acts from Eurovision have made any impact on the music scene. If Eurovision was a private enterprise it would have gone bankrupt years ago...

And the UK magazine predictably decided to put Holy Terror at the bottom of the list of 19 or so stories he's written, in an obvious failure to appreciate the idea, any more than the finished product. They say that:

...the writing of Holy Terror descends into something more akin to a bigoted rant than an actual story.

Oh yeah, it's just like them to blurt straight off the bat that it's nothing more than some "bigoted" rant. Is that also what they think 9-11 Families who openly condemn Islamofascism are doing? Their weird little diatribe gets worse with the following paragraph:

It may not be as bad as seeing Batman punch out insurgents, but whatever the book amounts to is undeniably infuriating. Comics legends like Alan Moore and Grant Morrison – who had by turns lauded and cited as influence to earlier works by Miller – responded with outrage at the mere notion of Holy Terror, an outrage – not a polite disagreement between professionals, but actual anger – and it’s all something like the series could hope to fuel.

All those twosome managed to do was make it sound like they're against fighting crime and defeating violent criminals, and to lose my respect in the process. I guess if it's wrong for Batman to whack out "insurgents" then it's wrong for him to give the Joker - along with plenty of other violent thugs in Gotham - a smash to the face too, huh?

If they think the story itself isn't well crafted, that's one thing, but to say the idea of battling savages is reprehensible is only to deliver a whole slap in the face to what superhero comics are all about - fighting evil. If they don't like that, then maybe they shouldn't read any more superhero, fantasy or crime comics.
