AVIGDOR LIEBERMAN SUMMONING SWEDISH AMBASSADOR OVER COUNTRY'S RECOGNITION OF "PALESTINIAN STATE"

The foreign minister wants a word or three with Sweden's ambassador:
Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman criticised Sweden for planning to formally recognise Palestine, and said its ambassador will be called in by the ministry to discuss the issue.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Loefven said on October 3 the Palestinians have "legitimate demands for national sovereignty," and therefore his nation "will recognise the State of Palestine" at some point. Several other European states, including Bulgaria, Cyprus, Hungary, Poland and Romania, have made similar declarations.
If they have, then they're acting just as disgraceful as Sweden's government is.
"Prime Minister Loefven needs to understand that no declaration or step by an external party can replace direct negotiations between the parties," Mr Liberman said today in a post on his Facebook page. "I have instructed the Foreign Ministry staff to invite the Swedish Ambassador to Israel in for a discussion."

The Swedish embassy in Israel today released a statement by text mail to reporters intended to clarify Mr Loefven's comments. "The conflict between Israel and Palestine can only be resolved through a two-state solution, the Prime Minister said, negotiated in accordance with the principles of international law," it said. "A two-state solution requires mutual recognition and a will to coexist peacefully. Therefore, Sweden will recognise the State of Palestine, the Prime Minister concluded."
The same pathetic cliches about 2-state solutions again, from the most equally pathetic politicians to cough it out. Although "negotiations" is just as poor an argument, and have eternally proven worthless.

When ambassador Carl Nesser did speak about this, he said:
Nesser's call for talks with Hamas comes despite the fact that the group, both in its political and "military" branches, is on the European Union's (EU) official list of terrorist organizations.

When asked if he expected other European states would follow suit after his country promised recognition of "Palestine," Nesser said "the purpose of such a statement about this forthcoming recognition is of course to support negotiations leading to the two state solution, so the objective is to be helpful."
Yes, they're always trying to "help". But he's obviously the kind of dimwit who won't pay attention to the phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions".

Update: Diana West has more to ponder:

This figures. They fling the doors wide open to "immigrants" with horrific views on life and they not only set about establishing sharia, they form alliances with totalitarians in politics who're also perfectly fine with imposing the same delegitimization upon their own countries. A perfect recipe for disaster.
