A horrifying incident just took place a short time ago at the Boston Marathon:
Two explosions at the Boston marathon are believed to have killed at least 12 people. According to eyewitness, "mass casualties" are being reported after two powerful explosions detonated in quick succession near the famed marathon's finishing line. Boston Police are currently perfomring a controlled explosion on a suspicious item found just blocks away from the bomb site in Boston.

It has yet to be confirmed whether or not the explosion is part of a terrorist attack, but dozens of people are known to be injured. The explosions were heard near the finish line in the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel.

Police have found unexploded devices in the area and are conducting security controlled explosions, according to the Boston Globe.

Update: more news available at Hot Air and also Pajamas Media.

Update 2: The Weekly Standard has some videos. Be forewarned that there's graphic content in them.

Update 3: the Boston police have a suspect, who turned out to be a Saudi national:
Investigators have a suspect — a Saudi Arabian national — in the horrific Boston Marathon bombings, The Post has learned.

Law enforcement sources said the 20-year-old suspect was under guard at an undisclosed Boston hospital.

It was not immediately clear why the man was hospitalized and whether he was injured in the attack or in his apprehension.

The man was caught less than two hours after the 2:50 p.m. bombing on the finish line of the race, in the heart of Boston.
If this info is correct, it tells why it's very dangerous to allow men from that awful country into the USA.
