A group of armed men opened fire on Monday at a checkpoint in el Arish city in Egypt's Sinai peninsula, but the attack did not cause deaths or injuries, a security source said.
A similar incident took place on Sunday when two men in a four-wheel-drive vehicle opened fire on a police station in the city.
