If she was born in Hawaii and has the surname "Mariano", it is extremely likely she is of Filipino heritage.

Mariano was born in the city of Lihue on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. At the age of four Mariano relocated with her family to California, where she was raised in the city of Mission Viejo with her two older brothers. At the age of 15 she was discovered in Santa Monica, California by a model scout. Her last name is a Spanish name. As far as I know, Spain had nothing to do with Hawaii. But, Spain did conquer the Philippines and there are a lot of Filipinos in Hawaii.
And besides, she looks Filipina.
