While American cities are synchronizing green lights to improve traffic flow and offering apps to help drivers find parking, many European cities are doing the opposite: creating environments openly hostile to cars. The methods vary, but the mission is clear — to make car use expensive and just plain miserable enough to tilt drivers toward more environmentally friendly modes of transportation.HERE IN THE USA, THE AUTOMOBILE EPITOMIZES ONE'S INDEPENDENCE.
IT DOES IN EUROPE TO - WHICH IS WHY THEY WANT TO STAMP IT OUT.
THEY TAX THE CRAP OUT OF GAS TO MAKE IT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN IT HAS TO BE. (IN FACT, GOVERNMENT MAKES MORE ON A GALLON OF GAS THAN BIG OIL!)
AND THEY TAX THE CRAP OUT OF THE SELLING PRICE.
THIS ISN'T HELPING THE EARTH BECAUSE CARS AND CO2 ARE HARMLESS TO THE ENVIRONMENT.
IT INHIBITS THE SALE OF CARS - WHICH CAN NOT ONLY DRIVE A FAMILY AROUND, BUT DRIVE THE ECONOMY.
IF WE WANT THE GLOBAL ECONOMY TO GROW- AND FOR POOR PEOPLE TO PROSPER, THEN WE NEED TO ELIMINATE ALL TAXES ON CARS AND GASOLINE - WORLDWIDE.
IT WOULD WORK IN AN INSTANT.
