When one stops to think about this it makes perfect sense. If we leave Afghanistan the Taliban will for the most part leave the tribal areas in Pakistan and the government there will no longer have to deal with that situation. In the short run it would seem to benefit them, also I suspect the ISI is on the same wave length as the Taliban---they go back a long, long way!
