POLLAK DEMOLISHES BEINART

POLLAK [EDITED FOR UMPHASIS BY RELIAPUNDIT]:
Beinart suggests a great burden to bear in becoming an Israel critic:

"The hardest thing I've ever written," he said in announcing his essay on his
Twitter feed.

Please.

As the astonishingly polite reaction to his article over the past week has demonstrated [ER, UM... NOT AT THIS BLOG!], there are few postures today from which it is more comfortable and advantageous to call out one’s anguish and concern than as a Jewish critic of Israel.

... How hard it must be for Beinart to ally with his employer, the New America Foundation, and
  1. Haaretz,
  2. Americans for Peace Now,
  3. the Israel Policy Forum,
  4. the New York Review of Books,
  5. the Nation magazine,
  6. the New York Times editorial and op-ed pages,
  7. Time magazine,
  8. the American Conservative,
  9. the American Prospect,
  10. Mother Jones,
  11. the entirety of the British and European media,
  12. Human Rights Watch,
  13. Amnesty International,
  14. B'tselem,
  15. J Street,
  16. J Call,
  17. the New Israel Fund,
  18. Richard Goldstone,
  19. the UN Human Rights Council,
  20. the UN General Assembly,
  21. the European Union,
  22. the British Foreign Office,
  23. the European Council,
  24. scores of NGOs,
  25. Walt and Mearsheimer,
  26. Tom Segev,
  27. Avi Shlaim,
  28. Tony Judt,
  29. Tel Aviv University,
  30. every Middle East Studies department,
  31. George Soros [HIS BOSS AND A NAZI COLABORATOR!],
  32. the Ford Foundation,
  33. Brent Scowcroft,
  34. Zbigniew Brzezinski,
  35. Jimmy Carter,
  36. Andrew Sullivan,
  37. Noam Chomsky,
  38. Mondoweiss, and ... well, you get the picture.

The sad truth is that Peter Beinart isn't any kind of trailblazer or whistleblower, and he most certainly has not earned himself any trouble by coming out as an Israel-basher.

He is someone who has rather belatedly fallen completely and predictably into line with the demands his ideological compatriots make for orthodoxy when it comes to their increasingly passionate interest in assaulting Israel and championing the Palestinian cause.

In Beinart’s work, we are not witnessing an act of courage but rather a spectacle of conformity.

CONFORMITY TO THE PARTY-LINE. THE POSTMODERN LEFTIST ANTI-SEMITIC ANTI-ZIONIST - BASICALLY ANTI-AMERICAN LINE.

WHAT PRINCIPLES DO BEINART AND AND THE OTHERS LISTED ALL SHARE?
  • FIRST, HOLDING ISRAEL TO A SEPARATE STANDARD THAN ALL OTHER NATIONS.
  • SECOND, MIS-ANALYZING THE ARAB-ISRAELI CONFICT AS A REGIONAL AND TERRITORIAL CONFLICT WHICH CAN BE SOLVED IF ISRAEL WOULD ONLY GIVE UP LAND, WHEN IT IS IN FACT MERELY ONE FRONT IN A GLOBAL IDEOLOGICAL AND RELIGIOUS CONFLICT BETWEEN JIHADISM AND THE WEST.
  • THIRD, THEY ALL BELIEVE THAT APPEASEMENT WORKS WELL - WHEN IN FACT ONLY ALWAYS ENCOURAGES MORE AGGRESSION BECAUSE IT REWARDS AGGRESSION.
IN SUMMARY: BEINART AND HIS COMRADES US FAULTY ANALYSIS TO PROMOTE BAD POLICIES.

THIS IS ALWAYS A RECIPE FOR FAILURE.

AND WE ARE SEEING IT PLAY OUT NOW ON THE GLOBAL STAGE:
  • IRAN'S NUKE PROGRAM IS UNBRIDLED,
  • NORTH KOREA ATTACKS THE SOUTH AT WILL,
  • THE TALIBAN ARE UNCHECKED,
  • CHINA WON'T PLAY BALL WITH THE YUAN,
  • OPEC WON'T CUT THE PRICE OF OIL; AND SO ON.
OUR ADVERSARIES SEE THESE LEFTIST POLICIES FOR WHAT THEY ARE: RETREAT.

I WISH LEFTISTS WOULD.
