WHAT'S THAT SWORD DOING ON THE SAUDI FLAG?

WIKI:

The flag of Saudi Arabia is the flag used by the government of Saudi Arabia since March 15, 1973. It is a green flag featuring in white an Arabic inscription and a sword. The script on the flag is written in the Thuluth script. It is the shahadah or Islamic declaration of faith:

لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله
lā ’ilāha ’illa-llāh muḥammadun rasūlu-llāh
"(There is) no god but God. Muhammad (is the) messenger of God"

The sword symbolizes the importance of the inscription by underlining it.

"The sword symbolizes the importance of the inscription by underlining it."

HUH!?!?!? BULLCRAP. THE SWORD SYMBOLIZIES HOW ISLAM TOOK OVER HALF THE CHRISTIAN WORLD: BY THE SWORD. BY TERROR.

The flag of the Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County, Virginia.

I'll never understand why sports teams from Christian schools play the ISA's teams. I think that these questions think that "setting a Christian example" will change head choppers' minds.
