A Saudi-owned supertanker held by pirates off the coast of Somalia for two months has been released for a ransom of $3 million, according to one of the pirates.

As long as shippers prefer to pay ransom rather than pay for protection I am hard pressed to see my tax money spent on this problem
Are we supposed to believe that the NAVY just stood by an took pictures of these cooks, but then didn't do anything to stop them when they all scurried away in their little boats?
