It would be nice if we did attack, but I doubt the present Congress would authorize the action.

Iran will begin to shut down the Straits of Hormuz in retaliation for
U.N. sanction threats against Iran for not hulting their Nuclear
Weapons production. One fith of the Middle Eastern countries transports its
oil consumption via oil bargedes to travel through the Straits of
Hormuz. Should the block of the Straits of Hormuz be ordered
by Irans political leaders, the price of oil will most certainly raise
the price of about $300.00 per barrel. O.P.E.C. says that
about 25% of the worlds oil travels through the Straits of Hormuz
carrying 20,000,000 barrels a day . The Straits of Hormuz is only 18 miles wide and the amount of weight of the oil passing through is said to be in the
order of about 750,000,000 tons. On the North side of the Straits
of Hormuz is the Persian Gulf. On the South side of the Straits of
Hormuz is the Gulf of Oman. Then, even more further South, comes the wide open Arabian Sea. 3,000,000,000 tons of oil passes through the Staits of Hormuz every year. During the Presidential rase of 2008, between Senater Obama and Senater Mcain, Obama says no to America's option to drill
for our own oil because it will take too long to supply America's
oil, and Obama goes on to say that we need to find alternative ways to produce a cleaner more productive way to find
energy as soon as possible. Senater Mcain's idea is to implement
off-shore drilling in and for America right away. But, his idea of getting oil will
take more then 10 years to satisfy the people of America to finally
lower gas prices and ease the supply and demand independently.
Senater Mcain also wants to biuld 45 nuclear power plants in America.
Senater Obama is not enthusiastic about off shore drilling and
apposes biulding 45 highly technologically advanced new nuclear
power plants. So, it's in the back of peoples minds that we need to attack
Iran immediately to sieze their oil and make the oil pass through the
oil markters to re-sell it to America with a reasonable price that would
stop the inflation it's causing and distribute it to the Americans without having such a high price to pay at the pumps. Iran is playing a dangerus game
of keeping the oil to act as though it were a kidnapping sitiuation, and that
Americans have to fork up the huge ransome to get it.
