Osama bin Laden criticized the publication of drawings insulting to the Prophet Muhammad in a new audio message posted late Wednesday and warned Europeans of a strong reaction to come.THE INTENSE AVERSION TO DEPICTING MOHAMED REVEALS A SCHOZID TENDENCY IN RADICAL ISLAM.
The message, which appeared on a militant Web site that has carried al-Qaida statements in the past and bore the logo of the extremist group's media wing al-Sahab, showed a still image of bin Laden aiming with an AK-47.
A voice believed to be bin Laden's described the cartoons as taking place in the framework of a ''new Crusade'' against Islam and warned Europeans that a reaction would come.
''The response will be what you see and not what you hear and let our mothers bereave us if we do not make victorious our messenger of God,'' he said, without specifying what action would be taken.
As extreme monotheists all Muslims are taught to reject and oppose any depiction of God. God is beyond and above any depiction, and depictions are (or could lead to) a form of idolatry. This is something they stole from from Judaism: As the Second of the Ten Commandments says:
"You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I The Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love Me and keep My Commandments."When Muslims oppose depictions of God, they are on solid ground.
BUT... when they oppose depictions of Mohamed they are on very shaky ground; in fact, when the radicals oppose it violently they are being sacrilegious. For ONLY God cannot be depicted - and to prevent and discourage the depiction of Mohamed is to elevate him to the same level as God.
When the radicals like Bin Laden commit this sacrilege, they are also being schizoid because they do it in the name of religious purity - they commit a sin in the name of religious zealotry.
This isnlt surprisng: people who murder they own daughters and sisters and call it "honor-killing", who commit suicidal acts of genocide to get virgins in Heaven are schizoid. Totally effed up. To the core. ORCS.

Bin Laden's threat is very strange, and eery.
But, he doesn't seem to be very good at coming through on his threats anymore.
The reason Muslims worship Mohammed, even though he was only a man is because their god, Allah, is pathetic and jealous of Christianity. He wants to have a son, but he is impotent.
A long time ago, he was cast down, and he fell out of the sky, and he is very pissed off that his plans have not worked out.
He will rant and rave until the end of time, at which point, he will be cast into the lake of fire.
Maybe this dispute over free speech is where Muslims and the West can agree to disagree, and then part ways. The West needs to get it through their heads that everything they fought and died to build and protect is going on the block. Multiculturalism is not a tenable goal, but rather an ideological trojan horse that will enable one society to cannibalize another. Europeans who are tolerant of immigrants are naive if they believe the immigrants are on the same page.
Too bad if OBL doesn't approve of free speech! He needs to buzz off on that.
About that threat...A bioweapon is the most likely.
Of course, OBL could just be talking through his turban.
