WHAT IF TODAY'S HOLLYWOOD LEFTISTS REMADE "NOTORIOUS"?

NOTORIOUS is a great film by Hitchcock. A spy thriller. Cary Grant plays a spy who recruits Ingrid Bergman to work for him and spy on a NAZI in South America - Claude Rains.

Turns out Claude was running some kind of weapons/chemical scheme for the NAZIS.

HERE'S PART NINE-OF12 - WHERE THE INTREPID SPIES DISCOVER WHAT THE ENEMY IS UP TO:

Well, if Hollywood made a remake this movie today, they wouldn't send in any spies. They just send in El Baradei and just have him ask Claude Rains to tell them what he's up to.

Like Blix did here (NSFW - or kiddies: language):

HERE'S ANOTHER POSSIBLE REMAKE ANGLE:

Hollywood could remake it with Sean Penn as Cary Grant and Barbra Streisand as Ingrid Bergman and Ron Silver as the bad-guy Claude Rains, only in this version Rains/Silver is an American working for Halliburton on an huge Iraq reconstruction project which Sean and Barbra expose as bad for global warming.
