Only one on the Left - Lanny Davis - has come out for Olson. And he has been attacked by the rest of the Left for this.

Professor Chemerinsky taught for many years at USC Law - I have several friends who took his classes. Before that he was a championship debater at Northwestern, and so I also have not a few friends who know him personally.
I have never met a single person who did not explicitly recognize him as either one of the best legal thinkers on the planet or one of the best law school teachers on the planet or both. This is an outrage. UCI should rehire him immediately, apologize abjectly, and hope that people forget about their rank abuse of power.
