Straight from the mouth of the leader of the supposedly one of the most 'progressive' Islamic countries in the world, Turkey, Prime Minister, Erdogan comes a simple, honest statement: "The term 'moderate Islam' is ugly and offensive. Islam is Islam"Speaking at Kanal D TV’s Arena program, PM Erdogan commented on the term “moderate Islam”, often used in the West to describe AKP and said, ‘These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it.” He's right. Religion is based upon its holy book. If you divorce a religion from its anchor, it's no longer the same entity. So the same political Islam which conquered lands centuries ago, which cut off the hands and heads of infidels, is the same Islam which exists today. Don't sit around hoping for Islam to 'reform'. Pigs might fly.
