My wife is a first-generation immigrant from the Phillipines. Her father made sure his children spoke English, he loved Ronald Reagan and he instilled a love for the freedoms of America in his children.
My wife and her family are better Americans than I am. It took my wife to really explain to me what 9/11 meant. She said to me, "If America were to disappear, then my people would have no hope."
Talk about the city on the hill!!!
