Russian President Vladimir Putin has cautioned against turning Europe into a "powder keg", referring to Washington's plans to deploy elements of its missile defense system in Europe.
"We consider it harmful and dangerous to turn Europe into a "powder keg" and to fill it with new kinds of weapons," Putin told a news conference after talks with the Portuguese prime minister in Moscow.
"It creates new unneeded risks for the entire system of international and European relations," he said.

This is a really telling post, Reliapundit. Psychologically-speaking, it explains a lot of the hostility you feel toward the Left.
i am hostile to the left: that's the whole freakin point of this blog.
BTW: the left was responsible for MOST of the genocide in the 20th century - the bloodiest in all history. it was for the common good, of course.
since leaving the left - a long process which began in 1972, but took until saddam's invasion of kuwait to be completed,i have broadened my reading and come to realize that the left was wrong about everything. and that postmodernism is evil.
i will always be hostile to evil and to forces whcoich oppress humanity.
