CHENEY SAYS HOUSE DOESN'T SUPPORT TROOPS

Panic in the streets! Vice President Cheney questions Democrats patriotism!
MANALAPAN, Fla. - Vice President Dick Cheney on Saturday accused the Democrat-led House of not supporting troops in Iraq and of sending a message to terrorists that America will retreat in the face danger.

"They're not supporting the troops. They're undermining them," Cheney told a gathering of the Republican Jewish Coalition at the oceanside Ritz-Carlton hotel in Manalapan, Fla., about 60 miles north of Miami.
He's right, but that won't matter. The Sunday talk shows will be going nuts tomorrow with this latest "outrage" from Cheney. Isn't it amazing how one can be chastised for telling the truth?

Support the troops, ok. Support the war...I don't think so! First of all, let us all remember that when this war first started it was because we had "evidence" that Iraq had been hiding weapons of mass destruction!! DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THESE THINGS? Now that more soldiers have died than our own civilian casulaties on 9/11, which in essence started all of this, why are we still not hunting down Osama Bin Laden? Why are we fighting for a country which has not shown any indication, other than what Mr.Bush or his backers will tell you, that they even want us there? Saddam Hussein was captured and there turned out not to be any WMA problem after all. So why, who, and what are we fighting for? The WAR ON TERROR, as our President so gallantly puts it, does not begin and end with Iraq!!! While many high-ranking terrorists have been caught or killed, this war has to be looked at as a distraction to that very cause. Terror is rampant throughout almost the entire Middle East. How is fighting a civil war in Iraq showing the terrorists we mean business? What about the rest of the terrorists throughout the Middle East, such as Osama Bin Laden? Why is Iraq so important? Answer....it's really not!!! President Bush, instead of admitting a mistake and bringing our troops home to prepare a plan to track down Bin Laden and fight the terrorists on our terms, has now declared this our WAR ON TERROR!!! It is not as if Iraq was in a state of rebellion prior to our occupation. They were not asking America for help because they were in the middle of a civil war and the people wanted to be "free". IRAQ IS NOT AMERICA. They have different ideals, different ways of life. We don't have people blowing themselves up in the name of Allah!!! The Vice-President has the gall to say that this house doesn't "support it's troops", yet we have soldiers over there fighting without even all the equipment they need to be fully prepared for battle. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT? Is that the way we "support our troops?" Perhaps Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney should learn to shut their piehole before spouting out anymore ridiculous crap, we've heard it for too long now. Support our troops...absolutely...Support this war...let's catch Bin Laden first, eh?
