Companies looking to reach China's consumer market with pig images during Year of the Pig celebrations next month will have to adjust after a national television network adopted a policy to be sensitive to the country's small Muslim population, according to published reports. China Central Television said it would ban all verbal and visual pork references from advertisements during Lunar New Year celebrations next month.Apparently Muslims are such delicate souls that they will self-combust just on seeing a picture of a pig! Jews too are forbidden from eating pigs but seem to have no problem with seeing pictures of them. Does that mean that Jews are stronger and wiser than Muslims? I think I had better not answer that!

Jews are more tolerant than Muslims and this is because Judaism is a much more universalist faith: Judaism holds that ALL HUMANS who are good go to Heaven; non-Jews have only to obey/observe the Ten Commandments - which are pretty darn universally recognized by all faiths anyway. Jews have additional commandments which are additional burdens without any additional privileges.
The so-called "Old Testament" is filled with holy non-Jews who are revered by Jews and Judaism.
Islam was founded through war and is in many ways a martial creed which demand jihad against all infidels who do not bow down before islam.

Islam is not a race. It is a religion. There are people who are ethnically "Jewish" however.
If you measure the ideology of Judaism vs. the ideology of Islam, then yes, those who adhere to Judaism are wiser and stronger than those who adhere to Islam.
Go ahead, and broadcast it all over that PASTORIUS made that statement.
Instead of trolling for controversy by over-interpreting and mis-interpreting JR's joke, consider the implications of the news conveyed in his post:
China, the most populous nation on Earth, with a proud 5,000-year-old cultural tradition and fierce chip-on-my-shulder nationalism, is going to avoid showing the porcine image associated with its ancient calendrical tradition so as not to offend radical Muslims. A would-be superpower can find nothing better to do than bend over backwards and fall over itself to prove that the Chinese are the best dhimmis on Earth.
In terms of the kulturkampf between the radical Caliphists and the rest of the world, this may be the most dismaying news of the year.
