A TALE OF TWO JFK'S: 1963 VERSUS 2006

PRESIDENT JFK/1961:
Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans—born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage—and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty. This much we pledge—and more.
Sounds like a damn NEOCON HAWK to me! Now, here's wannabe president JFK/2006:
"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
These two quotes tell us everything we need to know about the sad state of the Democrat Party. The first guy was a hawk. The second guy sure sounds like someone disparaging US troops - something he's done before (1970, 2005); (in fact, Kerry's done it so much so I have to conclude it's at the core of his political career if not his inner being).

KERRY IS A DOVE AT HEART - ONE WHO IS SKEPTICAL ABOUT ANY USE OF US MILITARY POWER. The Democrat Party is the party of doves. If you want doves to lead the nation during war-time, then by all means vote Democrat. Or stay home.

Kerry deprecates our military almost every time he opens up his mouth. Sure, he says he respects those who serve, but his tone then indicates the opposite.

You are right. He's dead consistent on this, and so are the rest of his supporters.

His non-apology made it worse and proved that he meant what he said. Because if he truly mispoke, then he'd be horrified at what he did say. He'd realize that he just slapped very dedicated people literally sacrificing their lives for this country, and he would have apologized. Instead, he thinks it's all about him.
