Two Fox Television journalists held for 13 days in the Gaza Strip were released Sunday after they were shown on a videotape saying they converted to Islam.
The two journalists, American Steve Centanni, 60, and New Zealand cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36, "have liberated themselves" by converting to Islam, according to the statement accompanying a videotape from a group calling itself the Holy Jihad Brigades.Prairie Pundit:The Fox News deal reminds you of the hideous truth about the people we are fighting and what they really want. Is there any other religion in the world that uses kidnapping to get "converts"? It just reminds us that making people say ridiculous things is what these thugs did with Jill Carroll and others. They are no better than the Nork brainwashers who did similar things with captives.
This is EXACTLY right, and this is how and why islam spread from the Arabian peninsula through Christian north Africa and the Christian Middle East, and then through south Asia to Asia: By ruthless use of horrific violence and terror. Without it there would be no islam.
Islam is not a true religion; it is at its very core a martial creed which dehumanizes almost all poisoned by it. Not all become jihadothugs, but anyone anywhere raised within its sociopathic tenets could become a jihadoterrorist - and millions do, all over the world.
It's a sociopathic ideology whose systemic misogyny dehumanizes women and turns many of their families into militant madrassas and trains their children to become genocidal maniacs and serial murderers.

REMEMBER: WW2 did not end until we destroyed Germany and the Nazi Party and de-nazified Germany. The same will be true of the GWOT - and this is why we are in the midst of a long and terrible war. But we are much closer to the end of that war than the beginning: this long war began 1400 years ago; it will probably end within the next decade or two.
The effect of out victory will not just be that the West is liberated from the threat of forced conversion (of what Centanni and Wiig just went through) and dhimmitude, but that all people everywhere will be liberated from this threat - ESPECIALLY the one billion humans currently trapped in the spell of this hideous ideology, this murderous misanthropic mess called islam.
A victory for the West in the GWOT is a victory for all humanity.

Yes, we need to deNazify Islam. That's what we haven't done in Iraq.
It seems that our nation is not fully aware of the problem yet. If we were we would have sat down and came up with a strict definition of "moderate Muslim" and "Islamofascism." Then, we would have set to isolating and elimating the Islamofascsit from the ranks of Iraqi power.
I don't see that we have truly made much of an attempt to do this.
But, that's all beside the point.
What I really wanted to say is I agree with the point that Islam is a unique religion in that it believes it can kidnap converts. It also believes it can buy converts. I have met Ethipians who have told me that they saw this happening in their home country.
I think this incident with the journalists may wake some people up. The incredible infantilism of thinking that you can beat a person into converting has got to be instructive of the very real sickness we are up against.
