TAB has been calling for this ever since KATRINA PROVED that off-shore drilling is ENTIRELY SAFE (links to a 9/25/05 post); (there were NO oil spills related to off-shore platform which weathered the WORST of Katrina's cat 5 winds and storm surge).
Now we gotta get this pandering piece of crap Democrat Senator Bill Nelson to GET OUT OF THE FREAKING WAY so the Senate can pass a similar bill and get it to GWB to sign into law.
There is NO RATIONAL REASON TO OPPOSE OFF-SHORE DRILLING: REPEAT: We need the oil; we need DOMESTIC energy sources, and it's ENITRELY SAFE AND ENTIRELY CLEAN.

Actually, wasn't that bill approved by a Republican led Senate, signed by Ronald Reagan and made even more strict under Bush 41?
Appearantly they sure had a few rational reasons.
Great - Now we need refineries! More nuke power, more refineries and more drilling should make the Oil Barons think twice about raising the price of oil.
