Today's so-called "peace Democrats" would have a similarly DISASTEROUS effect on the GWOT. Freedom and suffrage and democracy for 1/6th of humanity would be setback for many MANY generations to come. And we would be made less safe - because retreat would encourgae the enemy by proving to them that their tactics work.
Perhaps it's time that the DOJ enforced our laws as assiduously as Lincoln and Burnside did.
