Authorities in Grampian in Scotland are reporting their progress in reducing wait times for medical tests.PROGRESS?! FOUR WEEKS TO GET A CT SCAN!? YIPES! (BTW: If you think you have an infectious STD in the UK you have to wait 3 WEEKS for a test! DOUBLE YIPES!!)The latest statistics show waits for ultrasound have fallen from 18 weeks to 11, MRI from 42 to 19, barium studies from 18 to six and CT scans from seven to four.

For a rough conversion of these waiting-times to those typical in the US, just change "days" into "hours".
Unless of course its an emergency. Then its pretty much "right now!".
Isn't socialism grand? Who was it that said "people get the government they deserve."?
