ADOPTIONS ARE ILLEGAL IN EGYPT

Something worth noting from Egypt, for a long time now an Islamic bastion:

CAIRO (AP) - An Egyptian judge has convicted two American couples of human trafficking in an illegal adoptions case and sentenced them to two years in prison.

The judge also ordered the four to pay a fine of 100,000 Egyptian pounds, or $18,153.

Iris Botros and Louis Andros of Durham, North Carolina, and Egyptian-born Suzan Hagoulf and Medhat Metyas have been on trial since earlier this year.

They sought to adopt children in Egypt, where an orphanage allegedly gave them forged documents stating the adoptive children were born to them.

Seven Egyptians were also sentenced, including a doctor who provided fake birth certificates.

Adoptions are illegal for Muslims in Egypt and nearly impossible for Christians.

It was unclear if the couples would appeal Thursday's verdicts.

If adoptions really are illegal for Muslims there, that's surprising, but less so that they're forbidden for Christians. I won't be surprised if the charges of fake birth certificates are phony, but what this certainly does tell is that children there are surely doomed to darkness by adults being barred from adopting them.

12-YEAR FBI VETERAN SAYS FDLE REPORT IS SERIOUSLY FLAWED

John D. Guandolo, a veteran FBI agent, has given his opinion on the FDLE's abysmal report on the Rifqa Bary case for the Center for Security Policy (Hat tip: Jihad Watch):

At the request of the Center for Security Policy, he prepared an assessment of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) investigation of the Ohio-based parents of former Muslim Rifqa Bary, the 17-year old apostate from Islam who has sought refuge in the state of Florida. The FDLE report is provided here, and is available as searchable text for the first time, below his analysis. The significant errors and omissions that Mr. Guandolo and other experts have found in this FDLE investigation show a failure in FDLE's professional responsibility in handling the Rifqa Bary case. Governor Crist and FDLE management need to get new investigators on the job, start over, and this time do it right. John D. Guandolo:
Response to FDLE Investigative Report on Rifqa Bary Matter

Upon my review of the report filed by the FDLE regarding the Rifqa Bary Matter in Florida, I offer my professional opinion.

1. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Investigative Summary OR-73-1741 encapsulates the investigation into allegations made by Fathima Rifqa Bary (hereafter referred to as "Rifqa Bary") that she is or may be in physical danger from her father, Mohamed Bary, or others. Point 4 on page 2 of the report states Rifqa Bary believes her life to be in danger from an "honor killing" by her family or others, which she states is in accordance with Islamic Law. The report finds: "Ms. Bary's concern that she may be killed because of her conversion from Islam to Christianity remains a subjective and speculative concern..." and concludes there is no conspiracy to commit violence against her. The investigators in this matter offer this opinion void of any knowable facts. In fact, a due diligence review would reveal the existence of authoritative Islamic Law texts officially translated into English. This review would further reveal Islamic Law - which is real law - has requirements and rules as to how to deal with those who leave Islam [eg The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law, "Umdat al-Salik" also known as "Reliance of the Traveller" - publicly available]. If it can be shown (1) there is a requirement in Islamic Law for killing Ms. Bary as a publicly declared apostate from Islam, (2) that her parents adhere to Islamic Law, and (3) that she did, in fact, leave Islam and convert to Christianity, then the FDLE has a professional responsibility to include these facts in this report, and investigate this matter fully. There is nothing subjective about this - these are all ascertainable facts. I would hope the Florida State's Attorney's Office has done their due diligence on this matter and is aware of this

2. Mr. Bary's comments to the Investigators claiming there is "absolutely not" any concept of Honor Killings under Islamic Law can also be comparatively and factually reviewed against Islamic Law. There are, in fact, rules and requirements as to how apostates should be handled within the context of Islamic Law, and these facts must be reviewed by FDLE if a professional and factual report is to be completed.

3. It was noted that the Executive Director of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) -Columbus (Ohio) and the Staff Attorney for CAIR were present during the interview of Mr. Bary by FDLE Investigators. Absent from the FDLE report was any mention that CAIR is a known Muslim Brotherhood entity and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial - the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history - revealing HLF as a Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood front in the United States. All defendants in this case were found guilty in November 2008 and are serving long prison terms. These facts about CAIR were testified to at trial, and accepted as legally true. They are irrefutable - the documents demonstrating these facts were stipulated to by the defense. The Muslim Brotherhood's (MB) creed is "Allah is our goal; the Messenger is our guide: the Koran is our constitution; Jihad is our means; and martyrdom in the way of Allah is our inspiration," and their stated objective in America is a "Civilization-Jihad" to destroy the United States from within, and the MB exists to implement Islamic Law here in the United States. All of these facts are relevant for two critical reasons. First, these material facts should be made known to the State Attorney's Office and any Judges involved in this case as a matter of course. Secondly, when representatives from an organization that is objectively known to be hostile towards to the United States and unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history, are allowed to be present during a law enforcement interview of someone, it raises questions as to why they were allowed to be present at the interview at all. These facts further demand an objective look to determine if the Muslim Brotherhood itself has a position on Islamic Law and Apostasy. One of the MB's two stated objectives is to implement Islamic Law in North America (and across the globe), and it is known they call for adherence to Islamic Law wherever Muslim communities exist. The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law: Reliance of the Traveller is approved as valid Islamic Law by the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), a known Muslim Brotherhood entity, as proven in the HLF trial. In Reliance of the Traveller, Investigators will find specific legal doctrine on how apostates are to be treated under Islamic Law. Furthermore, the Muslim Brotherhood has a history of officially addressing the issue of Apostasy. In 1984, Ismail R. Al-Faruki , the Founder of IIIT, stated: "That is why Islamic Law has treated people who have converted out of Islam as political traitors...[Islam] must deal with the traitors when convicted after due process of law either with banishment, life imprisonment, or capital punishment...but once their conversion is proclaimed, they must be dealt with as traitors to the state." Apostasy is also specifically addressed in Peace and the Limits of War, published by IIIT and written by Louay Safi, the former Executive Director of IIIT, Malaysia, the Association of Muslim Social Scientists (a proven Muslim Brotherhood entity), and the Executive Director of the Islamic Society of North America's (ISNA) Leadership Development Council. ISNA was proven to be a Muslim Brotherhood entity and is also an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history - HLF. The book is also approved by the Secretary General of ISNA. In it, Mr. Safi notes that individual apostates cannot be killed for a "quiet desertion of personal Islamic duties," but can be put to death as "just punishment" when the apostate deserts Islam publicly (p. 31).

4. This is a statement of facts regarding this matter:

* There are requirements in Islamic Law regarding someone who deserts Islam
* The Muslim Brotherhood's objective is the implementation of Islamic Law in the United States
* Rifqa Bary has left Islam and become a Christian
* Rifqa Bary has made statements to FDLE officials and others that her parents have threatened to kill her because she has left Islam
* The Bary's appear to be adherent to Islamic Law
* The Bary's appear at an interview with two Muslim Brotherhood representatives doing business as CAIR, a group known to be hostile towards the United States which is also an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history
* The Muslim Brotherhood supports the killing of Muslims who publicly leave Islam

5. It is my professional opinion that sufficient Probable Cause exists to believe that Ms Bary's concerns for her personal safety are based in a realistic and factual understanding of her situation, and, therefore, a further criminal investigation is warranted.

This is a very good response to a bunch of so-called investigators who clearly are captives of political correctness of the worst kind. Guandolo is a good man, just like Dave Gaubatz, and this should stand proudly alongside the latter's FPM interview as something important for reading.

Doctors Threaten to Go Galt if ObamaCare Passes

It would be a miracle of biblical proportions if Big Government’s minions could decrease costs while increasing coverage, as Democrats have been promising to do when they seize control of the healthcare industry. What will make cost savings even more improbable is that they will have to do it with a radically reduced supply — because doctors unwilling to labor as government slaves have promised to go Galt:

Four of nine doctors, or 45%, said they “would consider leaving their practice or taking an early retirement” if Congress passes the plan the Democratic majority and White House have in mind. More than 800,000 doctors were practicing in 2006, the government says. Projecting the poll’s finding onto that population, 360,000 doctors would consider quitting.

The IBD/TIPP poll also found that 2/3 of doctors oppose ObamaCare, despite the lies being spewed on your dime by NPR.

The poll contradicts the claims of not only the White House, but also doctors’ own lobby — the powerful American Medical Association — both of which suggest the medical profession is behind the proposed overhaul. …

It also differs with findings of a poll released Monday by National Public Radio that suggests a “majority of physicians want public and private insurance options,” and clashes with media reports such as Tuesday’s front-page story in the Los Angeles Times with the headline “Doctors Go For Obama’s Reform.”

Surprisingly, only 71% of doctors answered “no” when asked whether they could swallow that “the government can cover 47 million more people and that it will cost less money and the quality of care will be better.” The rest must be Democrats, like they all will be after ObamaCare passes and hospitals turn into the DMV.

Becoming a doctor isn’t easy. Who is going to do it in the future, when our socialist rulers have destroyed every incentive? It will make more sense just to apply for a job at the post office than endure the rigors of medical school and residency. This is yet another reason that socialism simply does not work. But at least we’ll have no shortage of useless bureauweenies telling us how to live and when to die.

It is not without a touch of sadness that I note the passing of Mary Travers of Peter Paul and Mary. I grew up hearing their music on numerous occasions at all sorts of fundraisers for left-wing causes and I recall being fascinated by Mary's stature and blonde mane. The political positions espoused by the idealistic factions in the 1960's are a post 9/11 anachronism and Travers passing should impress upon us all that the times have changed. Of all the filthiest acts the MSM could commit in their demonization of Rifqa Bary, not to mention the "parents" themselves, do you know what they've done now? They've given her diaries to the Orlando Sentinel to publish. Of course, there's the question if anything extra was fabricated in their drive to demonize her.

Is this what real parents do? Is this what any decent person does, to expose someone else's private properties, which is a violation of privacy? This is most truly disgusting, and Rifqa's counsel should sue the paper over this. Come to think of it, they should sue the "parents" as well. This exposes the "parents" as the attention-hungering hatemongers they really are. Such vile characters should be shunned and ostracized by any and all sensible society.

And in many cases they shamefully close their eyes to honor killings. The murders by parents and siblings, of girls and women who in some cases doing no more than looking at a boy the wrong way, have according to Islamic beliefs, soiled family honor. This cultural bureaucrat plainly thought of himself as being devoted heart and soul to the welfare of immigrants, but when Al-Kalbaisi raised the question of the freedom of Muslims to criticize or even leave their own religion, the cultural bureaucrat was displeased. "You are a Muslim Whalid", he said, "and you must not lose your identity. " "But do you believe", Whalid asked, "that I will lose my identity if I believe in the freedom of expression?" "Listen" the man replied, "this is something that you decide yourself, but your attitude causes a lot of problems. We want to create a multicultural society and we don't want to dissolve these foreign cultures, your attitude alters all our plans, it creates conflicts between immigrants.

I think that's telling of what Norway for one has in mind for its own country.

Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr. (born Leslie Lynch King, Jr.):

Ford was born as Leslie Lynch King, Jr. on July 14, 1913, at 3202 Woolworth Avenue in Omaha, Nebraska, where his parents lived with his paternal grandparents. His father was Leslie Lynch King, Sr., a wool trader and son of prominent banker Charles Henry and Martha King. His mother was the former Dorothy Ayer Gardner. Dorothy separated from King Sr. just sixteen days after her son's birth. She took her son with her to the Oak Park, Illinois home of her sister Tannisse and her husband, Clarence Haskins James. From there she moved to the home of her parents, Levi Addison Gardner and his wife, the former Adele Augusta Ayer, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dorothy and Leslie King divorced in December 1913; she gained full custody of their son. Ford's paternal grandfather Charles Henry King paid child support until shortly before his death in 1930.^[3]

Gerald Ford later said his biological father had a history of hitting his mother.^[4] James M. Cannon, a member of the Ford administration, wrote in a Ford biography that the Kings' separation and divorce were sparked when, a few days after Ford's birth, Leslie King threatened Dorothy with a butcher knife and threatened to kill her, Ford, and Ford's nursemaid. Ford later told confidantes that his father had first hit his mother on their honeymoon for smiling at another man.^[5]

William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III...):

Bill Clinton was born William Jefferson Blythe, III, in Hope, Arkansas.^[14] His father, William Jefferson Blythe, Jr., was a traveling salesman who died in an automobile accident three months before Bill was born.^[1] Following his birth, in order to study nursing, his mother Virginia Dell Cassidy (1923-1994), traveled to New Orleans, leaving Bill in Hope with grandparents Eldridge and Edith Cassidy, who owned and operated a small grocery store.^[15] At a time when the Southern United States were racially segregated, Bill's grandparents sold goods on credit to people of all racial groups.^[15] In 1950, Bill's mother returned from nursing school and shortly thereafter married Roger Clinton, who together with his brother owned an automobile dealership in Hot Springs, Arkansas.^[15] The family moved to Hot Springs in 1950.

Obama's parents [PURPORTEDLY] met in 1960 in a Russian language class at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, where his father was a foreign student on scholarship.^[11][12]

The couple married on February 2, 1961 [SHE WAS 3 MONTHS PREGNANT AT THE TIME],^[13] and Barack was born later that year. [OBAMA SENIOR WAS MARRIED AT THE TIME.]

His parents separated when he was two years old and they divorced in 1964.^[12] Obama's father returned to Kenya and saw his son only once more before dying in an automobile accident in 1982.^[14]

ALL THREE MEN HAD FATHERS WHO WERE ABSENT.

ANOTHER CARBON TRADING SCAM EXPOSED

JOANNE NOVA:

Norway’s DNV (Det Norse Veritas, “The Norwegian Truth”) was the largest auditor of the infamous CDM’s (Clean Development Mechanisms) until it was suspended last December when it was caught selling carbon credits for projects it hadn’t checked.

At the time it was so large it had approved fully half of all CDM credits on the market.

Its excess workload was transferred to number two auditor, SGS, and shock, this week, SGS has been caught and suspended because it couldn’t prove it’s staff had properly vetted projects either.

Indeed it couldn’t show that they were even trained to do that vetting. (Did SGS not see this coming?)

When the West offered money to buy the rights to air-with-slightly-less-carbon-dioxide-than-it-could-have-had, China and India put up their hands and said “Yes please” 900 times. And why wouldn’t they? CDMs are worth about 20% of all emissions trades, which amounted to $126 billion in 2008. Up until the global financial crisis it was doubling annually, like all good ponzi schemes do.

This supposedly “free market” has none of the normal limits which make it hard for companies to get away with cheating … namely a connection to real material goods: usually if you don’t have it, you can’t sell it. But with carbon credits, customers can buy fake products and never know the difference — even after it’s “delivered”. That’s what you get when you deal in atmospheric nullities.

It might be called a “carbon market”, but remember that no one actually trades carbon, they trade rights to emit air with less carbon, and it’s not even as physical as air with less carbon than it used to have (something we can measure). No, it’s worse than that: it’s air with less carbon than it might have had.

So it’s an underwhelming surprise that the top two auditors have both been caught selling “Credits for emitting air that might-have-had-more-carbon-in-it, which might-have-been-checked by people who might-have-been-qualified to check these things”. Selling bridges in Boston has more respectability.

IOW: CO2 TRADING... IT'S MERELY A HUGE SCAM. ONE WHICH BENEFITS TRADERS THE MOST.

GOVERNMENT DIG IT BECAUSE IT'S A POTENTIALLY HUGE NEW REVENUE STREAM THEY CAN SPEND ON PET PROJECTS, CRONIES AND CAMPAIGN SUPPORTERS.

ACORN Would Effectively Dictate HR 3200's Implementation

They would ultimately dictate which services are offered, to whom, to what extent, and which insurance companies survive and which fail. It gets even better: ACORN, administering the co-ops, would use state Medicaid to usher in fully socialized medicine. Yeah!

Here's the deal: 'co-ops' are a Trojan horse for the public option. Co-ops would be administered through 'exchanges' by 'navigators.' 'Navigators' are community organizations, i.e., ACORN.

Robert M. Goldberg, VP of the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest and founder of Hands Off, writes in the American Spectator:

Specifically, [American Enterprise Institute health scholar Tom] Miller notes that health exchanges will be used to limit what Americans can spend on health care each year by deciding what type of benefits they will receive, the plans they can choose from, and how much health plans can charge.

Health exchanges are, in one respect, just another name for the Health Alliances that regulated health plans under the Clinton health proposal. In Clintoncare, as in current proposals, only qualified health plans would be eligible to sell insurance inside an alliance (exchange) and would be required to cover all the benefits a National Health Board (Health Choices Commission) established for a certain amount of money per person.

Exchanges would also have the power to implement premium targets, control the rate of premium increases through regulation, or impose taxes on high-cost health plans consistent with federal regulations.

That means less care and less choice. If Chairman Obama wanted to improve health care, make health care more efficient or affordable or available to more people, or open up a national insurance market he would be pushing DeMint's plan to open it up across state lines. He and his criminal cronies want to enslave us.

Instead exchanges reduce the number of private health plans by controlling prices and the introduction of new technology. Moreover, exchanges also have significant power to introduce an "all-payer" system if other health care plans are deemed not affordable. The House health bill allows the Health Choice commission to terminate state exchanges that do not meet federal standards of price and benefits. The Baucus bill, by letting the exchange regulate premium rates and benefits levels, paves the way for the steady erosion of private coverage as well.

Here's where ACORN comes in:

Best of all, the establishment of and enrollment in these exchange-sponsored public plans would be aided by a familiar nonprofit organization.

Exchanges have to contract with "navigators" -- nonprofit organizations that know health care and know how to enroll hard to reach people [like 13-year-old El Salvador sex slaves and the like -- ed.]. Enter Nets2Ladders, "a powerful, automated benefits enrollment platform" designed to "increase the efficiency and effectiveness of enrolling low-income families in federal and state benefits programs" such as Medicaid and SCHIP. By January 2010, all 50 states will be covered by this platform. And nearly 26 states have contracts with the group that administers the program already.

The organization? ACORN of course. No organization is better suited to be a health exchange "navigator." Which tells you everything you need to know about the real intent and impact of health exchanges.

Nothing about this bill is remotely redeemable. It is criminal though and through. It must be stopped in any form and everyone who supports it must be removed from office.

After discussing this somewhat at length with my socialist libtard sister, which always gives me great insight into liberal abnormal psychology, I have come to the conclusion that, as with most liberal policies, HitlerKare is predicated on the belief that the more successful members of society owe the fruits of their labor to those who are less successful.

One moonbat even wrote an article in Salon last week projecting his hatred for kulaks onto the elderly and claiming that the elderly are selfish for having been extorted for their wages to pay for socialist programs over the course of decades and actually expecting to get what they paid for.

Since the elderly overwhelmingly oppose HitlerKare, its supporters must be overwhelmingly young.

As luck would have it, 20-somethings will end up disproportionately footing the bill for it after all. Gee, who would have thunk, what with Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel wishing to restrict medical care to those who cannot be exploited as cash cows for the federal government?

Emanuel, however, believes that "communitarianism" should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those "who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia" (Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. '96).

Mike Tanner explains in WaPo today how younger folks will effectively end up paying for their parents' care:

Drafting young adults into any health-care reform package is crucial to paying for it. As low-cost additions to insurance pools, young adults would help dilute the expense of covering older, sicker people. Depending on how Congress requires insurers to price their policies, this group could even wind up paying disproportionately hefty premiums—effectively subsidizing coverage for their parents.

So I guess you won't get to screw 'The Man,' after all, huh? You'll just end up screwing yourselves and benefiting the Establishment.

You want healthcare? Support the GOP (tort reform, open health insurance market, immigration reform) or end up paying more than you already do for inferior care.

You want social justice?

Why We Must Ration Health Care

You have advanced kidney cancer. It will kill you, probably in the next year or two. A drug called Sutent slows the spread of the cancer and may give you an extra six months, but at a cost of $54,000. Is a few more months worth that much?

If you can afford it, you probably would pay that much, or more, to live longer, even if your quality of life wasn’t going to be good. But suppose it’s not you with the cancer but a stranger covered by your health-insurance fund. If the insurer provides this man — and everyone else like him — with Sutent, your premiums will increase. Do you still think the drug is a good value? Suppose the treatment cost a million dollars. Would it be worth it then? Ten million? Is there any limit to how much you would want your insurer to pay for a drug that adds six months to someone’s life? If there is any point at which you say, “No, an extra six months isn’t worth that much,” then you think that health care should be rationed.

In the current U.S. debate over health care reform, “rationing” has become a dirty word. Meeting last month with five governors, President Obama urged them to avoid using the term, apparently for fear of evoking the hostile response that sank the Clintons’ attempt to achieve reform. In a Wall Street Journal op-ed published at the end of last year with the headline “Obama Will Ration Your Health Care,” Sally Pipes, C.E.O. of the conservative Pacific Research Institute, described how in Britain the national health service does not pay for drugs that are regarded as not offering good value for money, and added, “Americans will not put up with such limits, nor will our elected representatives.” And the Democratic chair of the Senate Finance Committee, Senator Max Baucus, told CNSNews in April, “There is no rationing of health care at all” in the proposed reform.

Remember the joke about the man who asks a woman if she would have sex with him for a million dollars? She reflects for a few moments and then answers that she would. “So,” he says, “would you have sex with me for $50?” Indignantly, she exclaims, “What kind of a woman do you think I am?” He replies: “We’ve already established that. Now we’re just haggling about the price.” The man’s response implies that if a woman will sell herself at any price, she is a prostitute. The way we regard rationing in health care seems to rest on a similar assumption, that it’s immoral to apply monetary considerations to saving lives — but is that stance tenable?

Health care is a scarce resource, and all scarce resources are rationed in one way or another.

DAVE GAUBATZ: VAST MAJORITY OF MOSQUES IN US TEACH TO MURDER APOSTATES

Dave Gaubatz, who was the first US civilian federal agent to work in Iraq, has been interviewed by Front Page Magazine, explaining why Rifqa Bary is in danger, contrary to the claims of the irresponsible, poorly informed investigators who worked on the case:

Gaubatz: [...] I have visited over 200 Islamic Centers throughout America. The vast majority teach the worshippers 'Apostates should be killed' because it is a major sign of disrespect to Allah, the family of the Apostate is dishonored, and it may lead others to leave Islam.

FP: Tell us about some evidence you have of Islamic leaders in America advocating killing Muslims who leave Islam?

Gaubatz: I have never written or verbally stated anything pertaining to Islam that I do not have first-hand evidence to substantiate. This is why I always challenge any Islamic leader to come forward and not simply 'spout' off that Dave Gaubatz is wrong, but instead to indicate the issue I discussed in a sworn affidavit and say what I have said is inaccurate and they would be willing to again swear under oath in a U.S. court of law my statements are incorrect.

Specifically in regards to Apostasy, I request any Islamic scholar or Imam in America to provide a sworn statement under risk of perjury that Rifqa Bary has not committed a major sin and is subject to the death penalty. The scholar should also include in the sworn statement that Rifqa should not have any concerns about other relatives or friends of her father who will seek justice for the father because his daughter dishonored Allah and him. Lastly, I ask any Islamic leader to include in a sworn statement (again under oath and with the penalty of perjury) that they are not aware of any materials used in any U.S. mosques that call for the death of any Muslims who leave Islam.

Jamie, there will be no Islamic leader who will take me up on this offer. Why? Because they would be lying. Not that lying and deception is not conducted on a regular basis by CAIR and ISNA executives, but they will hesitate to do so under the risk of perjury and imprisonment. I will be preparing a sworn affidavit with several references I have obtained from numerous mosques across America (to include Ohio) that clearly state Rifqa and any Muslim who leaves Islam is subject to death.

FP: What about social workers, law enforcement judicial persons, or elected officials who publically state there is no evidence suggesting Rifqa Bary is at risk?

Gaubatz: I will be the first to say the person/persons who state this are very incompetent and do not need to be in a position of authority in regards to protecting the interests of children in America. The person should resign, be fired, and/or be held legally accountable for their clear incompetence that puts a child at risk.

I agree fully with this observation. Any alleged social worker who acts out of "cultural sensitivity" and flatly refuses to take the more challenging details into consideration should be banished from their job, to say nothing of shunned by the society they're supposed to protect.

FP: Does CAIR or ISNA support the same ideology that advocates killing anyone who leaves, oppresses, or dishonors Islam? Again, do you have evidence supporting this?

Gaubatz: Not only do CAIR and ISNA executives condone and support this type action, but leaders from MANA (Siraj Wahhaj), and MSA do as well. Yes, there is an enormous amount of evidence to show these leaders who are supposed to be representative of Islam, do advocate killing Muslim like Rifqa Bary who have ultimately dishonored Islam. Possibly FP readers could respectfully and professionally ask CAIR's Executive Director Nihad Awad if he is aware of any material distributed/used by CAIR or any U.S. Islamic Center that condones killing Rifqa Bary and people like her for their actions. Again he should do so in a sworn affidavit to law enforcement and the public as I will.

Jamie, what readers should focus on right now is that there are several Muslim U.S. politicians who are very much aware that Rifqa Bary and numerous other children are also at risk. One should be asking why they are not standing up for this child. Again the reason is because nothing or no one comes before Islam, not even an innocent child if they dishonor the religion.

For several years I have informed the public there are Islamic leaders throughout America who advocate the death penalty for Apostates. The Islamic leaders will not stand at the podium during Friday Jummah (prayers/talk) and verbally tell their worshippers to kill their daughters if they leave Islam and convert to Christianity, but they will fill their libraries and bookstores with exactly this insutrction [sic].

FP: You mentioned you will be providing on your website, daveg.us, several references from materials you have been provided and recommended to study by Islamic leaders from several U.S. mosques in regards to apostasy, but can you provide the readers one such reference now, and where you obtained it?

Gaubatz: Over the last three years I have conducted extensive research at Dar Al Hijrah Mosque in Falls Church, Va. Islamic leaders and some of their worshippers provided me materials to understand 'Pure Islam'. One such manual is "The Hudud" (Mandatory Punishments for specific crimes). The Arabic word for Apostasy is 'Riddah'. Below are a few quotes from the manual recommended to me to study Islam and how to be a good and pure Muslim. Note: In 2007, I went through a 'pseudo' conversion (revert) to Islam at Dar Al Hijrah in order to obtain more in depth first-hand intelligence. A popular Islamic leader Yusef Estes was visiting Dar Al Hijrah and was my witness to the conversion. My complete discussion with Estes will be made available on my site as well.

From the Hudud:

[1] "Death for hudd punishment for riddah (apostasy).

[2] "Whoever renounces his religion, kill him."

[3] "The Muslim who converts his religion, kill him."

Nowhere in the manual obtained in Virginia does it inform a Muslim father to not kill their daughter in America if she were to leave Islam (as Rifqa Bary did). No where does it inform the Muslim reader to not seek death for the Islamic sin of apostasy. Contrary, the manual does state there is no "obedience due to" any state or ruler who contradicts the laws of Allah.

I think this whole subject should be brought to the attention of Congress, and laws be proposed to help better protect children who could be targets of Islamofascism. There needs to be a hearing held to discuss it on Capitol Hill.

Climate change 'could kill 4.5 million children' (?)

Another work of unrestrained imagination by a do-gooder group below. The truth is opposite to what they say. Cold weather is much more likely to kill you than hot weather is. A warmer climate would SAVE lives

AT least 4.5 million children could die if wealthy nations fail to provide more funds to help impoverished countries combat global warming, development charity Oxfam has warned. The organisation said in a report it was concerned that industrialised nations would take money out of existing funds dedicated to economic development in order to help poor countries battle climate change.

World leaders will meet in Denmark in December to negotiate a new climate pact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions blamed for global warming. Funds to help the world's poorest nations develop an environmentally-friendly economy and adapt to the consequences of global warming are major issues to be negotiated in the Danish capital December 7-18.

In a report titled Beyond Aid, Oxfam warned that 75 million fewer children were likely to go to school and 8.6 million less people would have access to AIDS treatment if aid was diverted to the fight against climate change.

The report was released ahead of a summit in New York on September 22 aimed at preparing for the Copenhagen meeting. "Forcing poor countries to choose between life-saving drugs for the sick, schooling for their children or the means to protect themselves against climate change is an unfair burden that will only exacerbate poverty,'' chief executive of Oxfam Great Britain Barbara Stocking said. "Stealing money from tomorrow's schools and hospitals to help poor people adapt to climate change is neither a moral nor effective way of rich countries paying their climate debt. "Funds must be increased, not diverted.''.

"Most appalling" poster?

An English commentator with no apparent appreciation for wordplay has nominated the placard above as the most appalling among the many that were displayed at the recent anti-Obama protests.

Whether or not it is appalling is a value judgement that I will not go into but I note that truth is a defence so is Obama an African and did he lie?

People with genetics like Mr Obama's are commonly referred to in the USA as "Africans" or "African Americans" (though the simpler "black" now seems to be the dominant usage). Referring to someone of his ancestry as a "half-breed" or "mulatto" is long gone. You only need part-African ancestry to be described as an African. Nobody talks about Half-breed Americans.

And it is also true that Obama is a liar. In his recent speech to Congress he said that Republicans were not making any positive proposals about healthcare reform when they have in fact offered quite a few plans -- just not ones that Mr Obama likes. See here and here.
