Notable Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, who authored memoirs like Night, has died at 87 years of age. He'll be very missed.

This week, a reconciliation deal with Turkey was signed, for all the good it'll ever do. But if Israel's government thinks Erdogan will actually try to curb Hamas, for example, that's only buying into taqqiya.

At the end of the day, the Israel-Turkey reconciliation agreement boils down to interests -- not trust and certainly not sympathy. This deal will not usher in a new golden age in Jerusalem and Ankara's relations, but it will normalize relations with a major Middle East power.
For heaven's sake. "Normalization" is just crap. So long as Islam reigns in Turkey, it'll never truly be so.

Update: here's another op-ed explaining everything. And here's an article explaining why the Jewish Home opposed the deal: because the Hamas isn't going to return the bodies of 2 dead soldiers they murdered, and Turkey's unlikely to persuade them.

A terrorist infiltrated Kiryat Arba, and fatally stabbed a young dance student:
A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a 13-year old to death in her bedroom on Thursday morning after he infiltrated the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba, which is located next to Hebron.

“My daughter was sleeping calmly when he [the terrorist] came into her bedroom,” Hallal’s mother Rina told Army Radio. “She was happy,’ she added.

A Magen David Adom paramedic said that when he arrived at the scene the teenage girl, Hallel Yaffa Ariel, was unconscious and was not breathing. They were able to resuscitate her at the scene, but it was touch-and-go during the whole journey to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, as they continuously fought to keep her alive.

She was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival, without ever regaining consciousness.

After the attack, the IDF and one of the Prime Minister Office’s spokesman tweeted a photograph of her blood-stained bedroom.

Hallel had been a member of a dance troop and had performed in Jerusalem the night before. Her step-father, Amihai, is a cousin of Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel, and runs a boutique winery. She will be buried in old Jewish cemetery in Hebron. The funeral procession will leave from Kiryat Arba at 6 p.m. The terrorist, Mohammad Tarairah, 17, breached the settlement’s fence and then entered the Ariel home that was located on a security road, near a yeshiva high school for boys.

The settlement’s security team responded to the incident. According to the IDF, the terrorist stabbed a member of that security team, before another member of the team shot and killed Tarairah.
Another absolutely repulsive incident. It's fortunate that the terrorist himself was gunned down, and contrary to what the Muslims are taught, he'll just go to hell and not find any virgins.

One of the monsters responsible for this incitement is MK Hanin Zoabi, who just recently incited against the IDF:
Incitement by MK Haneen Zoabi (Joint List) is to blame for the death of 13-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel, MKs on the Right posited Thursday.

“The blood of the 13-year-old girl murdered today is on Zoabi’s hands,” MK Nava Boker (Likud), a Deputy Knesset Speaker, said. “This is the result of the incitement she speaks from the Knesset’s stage.”

On Wednesday, Zoabi called IDF soldiers “murderers” during a speech in the Knesset, leading to a near-brawl in the plenum when several MKs from the coalition and opposition shouted at her and tried to rush the stage. Following the melee, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked Attorney-General Avihai Mandelblit to look into legal ways of removing Zoabi from the Knesset.

Boker said Zoabi “encourages terrorist attacks against Jews and the murder of children in their beds.

“Until we put an end to it and get rid of her in the Knesset once and for all, we will continue to see terrorist attacks like the one today,” the Likud MK added.
I'm afraid they'll continue until they show the courage to abolish Islam once and for all.

Finally, justice was served in the case of the Haredi moonbat who thought disagreement over homosexual practice literally permits murder, and violation of the Ten Commandments:
Yishai Schlissel, the man recently convicted of the murder of 16-year-old Shira Banki and six more counts of attempted murder, all perpetrated at the Pride Parade in Jerusalem on August 2015, has been sentenced to life in prison and 31 more years.

In addition to the prison sentence, he has been ordered to pay monetary compensation to the tune of NIS 258,000, the maximum amount, to the Banki family and each of the other victims, for a total of NIS 2,064,000.

In the sentence, the judges wrote the following: "We have before us, then, a man who does not see those around him as people. A cruel man. A dangerous and heartless man. A man for whom the Judaism of pleasant ways, the Judaism of peace, the Judaism that teaches that people--all people--are created in the image of God, is completely foreign. A man who sees himself as giver and taker of life according to principles he has appointed himself to enforce. This dangerous man can no longer be allowed to roam the streets of Jerusalem or anywhere else."

It should be noted that the prosecution had requested a sentence of life in prison plus 60 years for the Schlissel's crimes.
While he fully deserves to rot in prison for his repellent crime of murdering a defenseless teenage girl, what has to be the most stupefying part of this whole case is that he apparently wanted to trash his future in the worst way possible and live the remainder of his life in prison. Is that sane? Of course not. As noted here:
Schlissel will almost certainly not appeal his sentence as he has made very clear throughout the process that he doesn't recognize the court's right to judge him, and even refused to cooperate with his attorneys.
It wouldn't be one bit shocking if he also wanted to damage the ability to dissent on legitimate terms with the practice of homosexuality, and take away attention from Islamofascism's own danger to homosexuals and lesbians. Seriously, that's what I think some of these mental cases want to do.

And here's a reminder of how he was able to commit his crime:
Schlissel was on a list of six potential violent attackers about which police were notified before the parade. Still, no steps were taken to monitor him, leaving him free to embark on a killing spree.
Why do I get the feeling even the police with their own share of leftists had no problem about something awful happening?

Even Schlissel's own community has to shoulder blame, of course, if they welcomed him back to their neighborhood with no reservations after he was released from prison, all without supervision and probationary measures. If he were to be released again today, I've got a sick feeling they'd still be okay with having him around even after the brutal murder he committed that desecrated the religion he falsely claims to follow. It's clear they made no attempt on their own part to stop him, so even if they're distancing themselves from him now, it makes little difference. They'd probably still have no concern about his returning to their neighborhood after the horror he perpetrated.

Schlissel fully deserves to rot in prison for murdering Shira Banki. But lessons still remain to be learned in many places.
