Kabul's collapse is a warning for Israel

Ben-Dror Yemini warns with valid reason that what happened in Afghanistan this week could very easily happen in Israel tomorrow:
While for Americans Afghanistan is oceans away, Israel finds itself in a more precarious position.

With Hezbollah to the north and Hamas to the south, the Taliban are just a few border crossings away.

There are those in the U.S. willing to dismiss nearly half a million dead in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as the $6.4 trillion – an amount equal France's annual GDP – that went up in smoke. While they may assert that "an agreement" will make everything okay, Israel has no such option.

Anyone seeking to understand what will now happen to Afghanistan - and probably Iraq in the near future - should take a look at the Gaza Strip as a test case.

The images of Taliban militants marching victoriously through the streets of Kabul will only whet the appetites of their acolytes, wherever they may be.

If they are successful in bringing the world's most powerful nation to its knees, everyone else should be a mere pushover.

This massive geopolitical shift affects Israel directly. There is no need for most Palestinians to support Hamas or Sharia law. All that it takes is one fanatical fundamentalist group with boundless determination, regardless of public support or lack thereof.

With the Taliban defeating the Soviet Union and now the U.S., the implicit conclusion is that without Israel's security control, Ramallah - the West Bank seat of power for the Palestinian Authority - will fall to Hamas much faster than Kabul fell.
Except that even now, the PLO is already evil enough themselves. All that'll happen is one evil will fall to another one. And it's a danger that is entirely capable of happening, if nobody acts responsibly, and campaigns to stop the horror that's bound to occur, surely much sooner than one thinks.

Biden withdraws USA troops from Afghanistan, enabling Taliban to take over

If there's any tragedy now occurring under Joe Biden's faux-administration, it's a capitulation to the Taliban:
President Joe Biden’s irresponsible and unnecessary decision to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan is becoming the most predictable travesty of his troubled administration.

As anyone who wasn’t playing partisan politics predicted, the Taliban is retaking Afghanistan in an appalling fashion. The rapidly deteriorating situation is a humanitarian and national security tragedy.

On Thursday, the Pentagon decided to send troops to help evacuate personnel from the U.S. Embassy in Kabul and also assist at the Kabul airport. Kabul is expected to fall within a month.

The Taliban has captured nearly two-thirds of the country, including 10 provincial capitals in the last week, and now Ghazni, one of Afghanistan’s largest cities, strategically situated on the main road between Kabul and Kandahar.
Now, to make matters worse, after this travesty became official, the DHS has warned of a new terror threat lurking out there:
All the progress made by President Trump in the War on Terror seems to have been magically erased by Joe Biden, as the Department of Homeland Security issued a new terrorist threat alert on Friday, reports the Washington Times. According to the report, DHS has detected “signs of life in al Qaeda ahead of the 20th anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks.”

“The signs of life included the Islamist terrorist organization issuing its first new magazine in more than four years,” reads the report. “Homeland Security also reiterated its warnings over dangers stemming from what it has come to call racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists. It said that ‘increased societal strains’ during the coronavirus pandemic may spur greater violence from those elements.”
If the idea is to blame the pandemic on the horrors that're bound to be looming ahead, that's only obscuring the more serious issues involving Islamofascism, which is now setting foot anew in Afghanistan. On which note, the country's president is surrendering to the Taliban as well:
Afghanistan's president Ashraf Ghani was set to cede power as Taliban fighters entered the outskirts of the capital Kabul on Sunday, sources told the Dubai-based Al Arabiya network.

The Taliban said they were awaiting a "peaceful transfer" of the city after promising not to take it by force, but panicked residents raced to the leave, with workers fleeing government offices and helicopters landing at the U.S. Embassy.
There will be no "peaceful" anything, considering the jihadist violence that's guaranteed to ensue after this capitulation to such a monstrous terrorist organization. Further reports are that Ghani fled Afghanistan altogether. Congressman Michael McCaul says Biden's got blood on his hands, and as Steve Scalise says, it's a moment that's going to be considered akin to the Saigon disaster during Vietnam decades ago.

But what really enabled this disaster was everybody's lack of courage to say Islam is the problem, and work to get people off it. As a result, why do they think this new Taliban takeover of the Afghan country was possible?
