UK Labour party defends having sharia courts operating in the country

Britain's Labour party, in charge of the government now, is defending the establishment of parallel legal systems on their soil:

The Labour Party government has argued that allowing Sharia courts to operate in the United Kingdom is a fundamental “British value” and has refused to distance itself from a broad stroke definition of so-called Islamophobia, which critics say would brand discussions around Muslim child rape grooming gangs as potentially illegally racist.

Pressed on Tuesday in the House of Commons by Reform UK’s Sarah Pochin as to whether the government supported the existence of Sharia courts in the UK, Minister of State for Courts and Legal Services, Sarah Sackman, unequivocally backed their right to operate.

The Labour MP for Finchley and Golders Green said: “Sharia law forms no part of the law of England and Wales but in common with Christian, Jewish, and other courts of faith where people choose to put themselves before those councils, that’s part of the religious tolerance that is an important British value.”

However, critics have noted that unlike local Jewish courts, most Sharia councils in the UK have refused to sign the Arbitration Act of 1996, meaning that there is little to no oversight on how they function or provide recourse to those subjected to their rulings.

According to The Telegraph, there are as many as 85 Sharia courts dotted across Britain. The councils, headed up by local Islamic men, often arbitrate divorces or other civil matters such as inheritance disputes.

Some have warned that they fundamentally undermine British family law by creating a parallel legal structure and perpetuate Islamic inequalities such as in the case of women or homosexuals.

One woman who gave testimony to a 2018 Home Office report claimed that the Imams on the Sharia court had attempted to force her to return to her violent and sexually abusive husband.

“These Imams just don’t listen – they try and force you back to your husband no matter what, and feel they have the right to disturb your life,” she said.

Southall Black Sisters, a domestic abuse treatment centre in Southall, England, also told the report that such courts are “often corrupt, primarily interested in making money and abusing their positions of power.”

The charity said that Sharia courts act as “money-making schemes” and often demand exorbitant fees, saying that some women are told that they need to pay their husbands thousands to obtain a Muslim divorce certificate from the council.

And yet the leftists in Britain are okay with such barbarism. One of the most offensive parts of this whole catastrophe is how they act like, because Islam is supposedly a monotheist religion, that actually makes it legitimate. Yet these same thugs also take bizarrely condescending views of other religions less monotheistic, like Shintoism and Confucianism, no matter what values they offer. It's shameful how monotheism has been exploited as a means of validating the awful, and now it's costing the UK big time.

Mahmoud Khalil will be deported

A federal judge has thankfully upheld deportation for the repulsive Muslim anti-Israel activist Khalil, to either of 2 locations:

A federal judge ordered Wednesday that immigrant Mahmoud Khalil, a pro-Palestinian activist behind some of the radical protests at Columbia University, be deported — either to Algeria, or to his native Syria.

Khalil was arrested in early March by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Trump administration sought to have him deported, despite the fact that he had become a legal permanent resident (though not yet a U.S. citizen).

Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended the arrest: “We will be revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported.”

President Donald Trump had campaigned on a promise to deport foreign activists who had participated in the antisemitic “encampments” that sprung up across universities campuses in the late spring of 2024.

Whichever country he goes to, he can live in the poverty he deserves for all we care. Such an utterly repellent excuse for a "student" if that's what he's to be called, and he doesn't belong on university campuses in any sane country. And we should hope the Trump administration will also revive exile laws as well, so that domestic traitors can be banished from the USA for any offensive behavior they commit. That's another something needs to be worked on for safety's sake.

The Islamic response to Charlie Kirk's murder was sadly predictable

In the few days now since the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk, it's been discovered, far from surprisingly, that Muslim activists have only responded to the terrible incident with nothing but hatred:

The warped but inventive minds that make up the U.S. Islamist movement have been busy the last few days, trying to get some traction on social media and pile on the hate for Charlie Kirk.

It's Islamists, so the very first thing that comes to mind is "conspiracy."

Daniel Haqiqatjou, founder of Muslim Skeptic, blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for Kirk's death.

Haqiqatjou took the standard left-wing line that Trump was going to use Kirk's death as a sort of "Reichstag Fire" to begin a general crackdown.

Haqiqatjou added in another post that Charlie Kirk was murdered as a result of a "Zionist conspiracy." The nutcase failed to explain how Kirk, a huge supporter of Israel, as he pointed out earlier, could be a victim of "Zionists." [...]

The U.K. Islamist news outlet 5Pillars gloated over Kirk's death, criticizing him for his statement that Islamic values are incompatible with Western values, and asserting, “It’s not Islamophobia to notice that Muslims want to import values into the West that seek to destabilize our civilization.”

None of this is surprising, although the idiocy of positing Netanyahu's involvement in the assassination should disabuse those who believe Islamists are rational players who can live in peace with the West. Their notions of individual liberty are either absent or so skewed as to be unrecognizable. Their tolerance of other religions doesn't exist. And let's not even discuss the way they treat women like cattle.

This is all truly obscene, and decidedly calls for a lawsuit by the Kirk family against the Religion of Peace adherents who defamed the poor guy for daring to state facts. There've been a lot of leftists who lost jobs for making offensive comments about the Kirk murder, with one of the most prominent being Matthew Dowd, now formerly of MSNBC news. All responsible businesses in the USA and elsewhere who wish to retain a responsible image should also make sure to distance themselves from any Islamists who've done anything similar.
