UNSC Passes Cease-fire resolution; US Abstains

The United States did not veto a UNSC resolution calling for a cease-fire in Gaza.

Atlas Shrugs and the Jawa Report are upset about it.

Condi Rice was even more involved: according to news reports quoted at Jawa, "Condoleezza Rice, the US secretary of state, had personally negotiated the text at UN headquarters in New York with her counterparts from Britain and France, David Miliband and Bernard Kouchner."

Quite a team. Reminds me of this previous team of diplomats, who worked hard to secure peace in their time (1938):

The hero of the hour was Neville Chamberlain, far left. That's Edouard Daladier, next to Chamberlain, and at the far right is Count Ciano.

FOX News reports that Ehud Olmert has rejected the call for a cease-fire at this time as "not practical."

Condhimmi is a f****** joke, sorry but that is the only way to explain it.

I can't believe W signed off on this in his waning days, just like Pamela says.

The IDF needs to continue its operation and carry out its objectives and Hamas can NEVER be part of any solution...
