Terrorists In Georgia USA?

Baron Bodissey at Gates of Vienna is reporting on aerial survelance of the Jamaat ul-Fuqra compound in Georgia. Some photo analysis is provided. The Baron is asking for help from any one who could assist in further analysis.

The Christian Action Network [CAN -ed] recently made another aerial run over a Jamaat ul-Fuqra compound, this time the one near Commerce, Georgia. Martin Mawyer, the president of CAN, has kindly made the resulting photos available to Gates of Vienna.

The compound on Madinah Road actually has a Royston address, and is about halfway between Commerce and Royston, to the northeast of Atlanta.

Jamaat ul-Fuqra — the terrorist organization whose cover group is known as the Muslims of America — means “community of the impoverished” in Arabic.

The Baron has a lot of speculation, however he could use some help from an experienced photo interpreter.

Yesterday, Harry Reid said that Iraq was worse than Vietnam. He is abso-effin-lutely WRONG.

The Vietnam War cost us the lives of 50,000 US troops. Iraq by comparison is peaceful. But the analogy doesn't just fail there - IT FAILS COMPLETELY, except in so far as the Left wants us to lose, and is doing EVERYTHING in its power to make sure we lose - NO MATTER THE CONSEQUENCES.

In 1975, the consequences were the collapse of the SVG and the invasion of South Vietnam by North Vietnam - in flagrant violation of the Paris Peace Treaty.

This led directly to 2 MILLION refugees - the Boat People, and the Pol Pot regime which murdered 4 MILLION in Cambodia. And the enslavement of 60 MILLION Vietnamese to a Marxist tyranny for 30 years.

There is one analogy that does translate from Vietnam to Iraq: the Left is actively aiding the enemy and undercutting our efforts to spread democracy and halt the spread of totalitarianism. AUSTRIA SOLD RIFLES TO IRAN, AND EVEN DEFENDS THEIR ACTIONS

Austria apparently hasn't changed much since WW2, when they, along with Germany, led the nazis. Now, as THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS related on February 13th, these rifles, built by Steyr-Manlicher, are being used by terrorists to murder soldiers in Iraq:

LONDON: Sophisticated rifles supplied to Iran by an Austrian arms company are finding their way into the hands of Iraqi insurgents, a British newspaper reported Tuesday. American troops have recovered more than 100 "Steyr .50 HS" rifles in Iraq, part of an Austrian consignment of 800 such weapons delivered to Iran over American protests that they could be given to insurgents, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The Austrian government approved the sale of the rifles, made by precision weapons maker Steyr Mannlicher GmbH, after it concluded in 2004 that they would be used to fight narcotics smugglers.

"We checked the proposal very thoroughly," Austrian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Astrid Harz said, noting that the situation in Iraq and the region in 2003-2004 was very different then than it is today.

No kidding. That is so naive and on-the-defensive, it's disgusting.

"What happened to the weapons then is the responsibility of the Iranians," Harz said.

British gun crime spreading:

"Gun crime is being exported from the inner cities to the shires, the senior officer in charge of the national firearms policing strategy has told The Times. Keith Bristow, lead officer on firearms crime for the Association of Chief Police Officers, was speaking as Scotland Yard battled to contain the violence in London, where one man was shot dead and another injured over the weekend.... But as the death toll mounted in the capital, Mr Bristow gave warning that the gun problem was moving to the shires.

The proportion of gun crime occurring outside the hotspots of London, Birmingham and Manchester has risen sharply from 36 per cent in 2002-03 to 45 per cent in 2004-05. The spread of gangs and guns to smaller cities and provincial towns went “hand in hand” with the expanding market for crack cocaine, said Mr Bristow, who attributed the displacement in part to a tough police response in the big cities.... The typical pattern is that a crack dealer establishes a trade in an area but, when that becomes saturated, it generates competition and violence between drug dealers and more robust policing.

These factors force some of the dealers to go elsewhere in search of new markets. They bring their guns with them.” He cautioned against the view that firearms were only a problem for the black community. “It is much more about where you went to school and whom you hang out with than about ethnicity.”

British government still thrashing at the air:

"Tony Blair announced a major review of firearms laws today in the wake of five fatal shootings in London but insisted once again that the wave of gun crime sweeping British cities was “a specific problem within a specific criminal culture” rather than a reflection of wider social ills. A man was shot in the leg in North West London overnight as armed gangs continued to show their contempt for the law. Another man was shot dead in East London yesterday and three others wounded in shootings in Manchester. The attacks follow a spate of gun murders in South London, including the deaths of three teenage boys in the past fortnight which provoked a national debate on youth crime and prompted the Prime Minister to order a review of gun laws.

Mr Blair said today that he was considering various proposals, including lowering the age at which the mandatory five-year sentence for carrying a gun can be imposed from 21 to 17 to remove the incentive for gang leaders to give guns to minors. He also confirmed his backing for a New York-style crackdown in which police could be given new powers to mount surveillance on the homes of people suspected of possessing and using firearms.... The Prime Minister said that a proposed law change to make gang membership an aggravating factor in sentencing was “the correct thing to do”....

As teams of armed police patrolled South London another man was murdered in the east of the capital yesterday. Gunmen shot a 28-year-old man in his car in Hackney before blasting him again as he tried to escape. A witness reported seeing three black men walking “confidently” away."

British Libertarians respond to mounting British gun deaths:

"The Libertarian Alliance, the radical free market and civil liberties policy institute, today calls on the British Government to take firm action over the shootings of young men in South London. It believes the best action would be to relegalise guns and let ordinary people fight back with lethal force against the violent criminals who presently rule the streets of our cities.

Libertarian Alliance Director, Dr Sean Gabb, says: "The Libertarian Alliance believes in a return to the wise laws of our ancestors, under which a person could walk into a gun shop and, without showing a licence or any form of identification, buy as many guns and as much ammunition as he pleased, and could keep these at home, or carry them about in public, for the defence of his life or property. "We have the most restrictive laws in Europe on gun ownership. These have plainly not worked. In 1968, in 1988, and twice in 1997, we were promised a safer country if only we gave up our guns. We were cheated. "In fact, the only people who have no guns are the respectable.

Those who do commit assaults are no more likely to obey the gun ban than they are to stop listening to horrid music or to wash their hands after using the toilet. "Even turning the country into a police state, with powers of random stop and search and scanners in public places, will do nothing to disarm these creatures."

TV STILL BEING DEMONIZED

Strange that no good effects of TV are mentioned below -- typical of propaganda. For just a few examples of the good effects that might have been mentioned, see here.

Anything popular [bourgeois and indigenous to the West- ed.] is hated by the [elitists of the...] Left, and there is a lot of Leftism and its accompanying low ethical standards in academe so all the adverse findings about TV must be viewed with deep skepticism. For the record, I personally almost never watch TV, although I have two of them -- very old ones.

Watching too much television as a child may trigger serious health problems such as autism and obesity, and in girls the early onset of puberty, a scientist has claimed. So great are the dangers, says Aric Sigman, that watching television should be banned for children under three years old and severely restricted as they grow older. Writing in the journal Biologist, Dr Sigman says that the average six-year-old child in Britain will have already spent a year watching television, and claims that the simple act of staring at a bright television screen, regardless of a programme's content, can damage a child's health.

Dr Sigman identified 15 negative effects that, he says, television can have on youngsters, ranging from short-sightedness and diabetes to premature puberty and autism. "We may ultimately be responsible for the greatest health scandal of our time," he writes. "Given the evidence, it would be prudent to cordon off the early years of child development as a time when screen media is excluded and then introduced judiciously as the child matures. "To allow children to continue to watch this much screen media is an abdication of parental responsibility. Truly hands-off parenting."

Dr Sigman's report, which is based on his analysis of 35 scientific studies, claims that television viewing affects levels of melatonin, a hormone linked to when puberty occurs in girls. Melatonin levels increase in the evening, at the onset of darkness, but staring into a bright screen during this period hinders its production.

Research has shown that melatonin affects puberty in females more than males. "Animal studies have shown that low melatonin levels have an important role in promoting an early onset of puberty and linked to reproductive function in several sexually mature animals," Dr Sigman says. Girls have been reaching puberty earlier since the 1950s, which previous research had blamed on an average increase in female weight, but he claims that lower melatonin levels may be another cause.

Dr Sigman, a member of the Institute of Biology and associate fellow of the British Psychological Society, says that watching television also damages sleep patterns, causes over-eating and increases the risk of type 2 diabetes. "Television may induce us to eat more [by] causing our brain to monitor external non-food cues - the television screen - as opposed to internal food cues telling us that we have stuffed ourselves and can stop eating." Low attention spans and poor educational achievement could also be linked to television viewing habits.

I encouraged people last week to tune into Joel Surnow's new conservative, comedy show, The Half Hour News Hour. I watched it last night and was not disappointed. I laughed a lot and for us conservative, political news junkies it was a breath of fresh air.

When I've talked about this on my blog there has been a lot of whining by liberals about how this show isn't really funny, blah, blah, blah... I don't know why they are threatened by conservatives having 1 comedy show out of the thousands of liberal ones but they do seem to be scared. Another encouragement that Surnow must be doing something right.

Ehud Olmert faces more and more criticism from inside his own party:

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert faced sharp criticism over the weekend from two political foes inside his Kadima Party, coalition chairman Avigdor Yitzhaki and Construction and Housing Minister Meir Sheetrit.

The criticism showed that members of Olmert's party felt freer than they had in the past to speak their mind about a prime minister who had led their party to its tailspin in the polls.

"I understand the feelings in the public that Israel is in the midst of the worst leadership crisis since its inception," Yitzhaki said in a speech on Saturday in Beersheba. "It will take time until we succeed in bringing forth a leader whom the public could trust and support."

At least 23 bombs exploded Sunday in apparently coordinated attacks in parts of southern Thailand plagued by a Muslim insurgency, killing three people and wounding more than 50, the military said.

The bombings targeted electricity transmitters, hotels, karaoke bars and markets in the country's southernmost provinces, the only parts of predominantly Buddhist Thailand with Muslim majorities. Two schools were torched.

Violence in the south has been escalating in recent months despite a major policy shift by the military-imposed government, which is trying to replace an earlier, iron-fisted approach in dealing with the rebels with a "hearts and minds" campaign. [Umph added]

Since Roe, federal courts have held that a woman has the right to abort her pregnancy during the first trimester - which means the very human-looking baby in the video is who is being killed.

I think all woman seeking an abortion during the first trimester should see this first.

And this image only makes me more convinced that the only MORAL solution to unwanted pregnancies is adoption (if the pregnant woman can be convinced to go full-term), or embryo-removal/transplanting/adoption if she cannot be convinced to go full-term. This latter process doesn't exist yet, but of BOTH sides of the abortion debate would support financing research, then I believe we could make it a reality, andf that way make the political debate MOOT.

A LOGICAL DEFINITION OF LEFT VERSUS RIGHT - and what it means in WW4

We were all raised to believe that the EXTREME Left was communist and the EXTREME Right was fascist - AND THAT THEY WERE IDEOLOGICALLY ANTAGONISTIC. WIKI:

In modern Western countries, the political spectrum is usually described along left-right lines, based on the seating of the liberal and conservative members of the Legislative Assembly of France in 1791, where liberal and conservative were partly defined by attitudes towards the ancien regime. This traditional political spectrum has come to be defined along an axis with socialism and communism, ("the Left") on one end, and nationalism and Fascism ("the Right") on the other. [Umph added.]

THIS IS AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF THE TRADITIONAL POLITICAL SPECTRUM, BUT IT IS AN UTTERLY FALSE DESCRIPTION OF POLITICAL REALITY.

In fact, it is Left-wing propaganda. It is propaganda that became de rigeur after Hitler violated the Hitler-Stalin pact and attacked the USSR. It was buttressed by the FACT that Hitler and Nazism were violently anti-Marxist.

But this is DIFFERENT than saying they were anti-SOCIALIST. In fact, NAZI is an acronym which stands for national SOCIALIST party, and IN FACT Hitler was an ardent socialist. As was Mussolini - who coined the term FASCIST to denote the subjugation of the individual to the collective. Many falsely claim that Hitler and Mussolini argued for control of the economy by CORPORATIONS, but IN FACT: the term CORPORATISM in Italian means UNIONS, and not private companies; and any cursory reading of Mein Kampf and the NAZI party platform and Hitler speeches makes ABSOLUTELY AND INCONTROVERTIBLY CLEAR that Nazism was merely a variant of socialism - AND NOT IT'S ANTAGONIST. (Hitler hated Bolshevism and Marxism and internationalized socialism - which valorized and sought to unify the "proletarian" everywhere; Hitler sought a national RACIALLY based socialism.)

In light of these FACTS, it is absurd to believe in the political spectrum which places Nazism on the extreme Right, and Communism on the extreme Left. As collectivist ideologies they BOTH belong on the LEFT - along with Fascism.

The extreme Right is, therefore, logically occupied by ANARCHISM (and not Nazism or Fascism).

An accurate and logically sound political spectrum has the collectivist Communism on the extreme Left, and the most anti-collectivist ideology - Anarchism - on the extreme Right.

And in the middle are constitutional democracies - which have somewhat strong states led by governments which are formed by the mutual consent of individual citizens and have laws which are limited by constitutions which circumscribed the powers of the state, and delineate inviolable rights of individuals.

The middle is quite dynamic, and includes left-of-center states like those in Scandinavia, and right-of-center states like the USA.

So, when folks like Hitler and Bush are both called Right-wing - IT IS A LIE. A lie perpetrated by the Left - who actually have much MUCH more fundamentally in common with Hitler than Bush OR ANYONE ELSE ON THE RIGHT does.

Furthermore, anyone and everyone who argues that the state should become more powerful and that individuals should become less free is a statist and a collectivist and a Left-winger.

And it doesn't matter whether this statism is driven by a desire to enforce economic outcomes (as with SOCIALISM), or by a desire to enforce SECTARIAN RELIGIOUS RULES - AS WITH BAATHISM AND Q'TUBISM/SALAFISM/BINLADENISM.

This is another reason why the Left is predisposed to appeasement of and alliance with the islamofascists: they are BOTH statist/Left-wing ideologies.

What is more, POST MODERN Leftism is also anti-modernity and anti-West and anti-Judeo-Christian Civilization - JUST LIKE THE ISLAMOFASCISTS!

That's why the Left CONSTANTLY runs interference for the islamofascists - in our legislatures, our courts and in the UN. And this is why we must defeat the Leftists at home if we want to defeat the islamofascists abroad.

GOOD NEWS FROM LONDON: NO MEGA-MOSQUE

The British government is expected to refuse a construction permit for a Tablighi Jamaat mosque designed to hold 70,000 worshippers and near the site of the London Olympics.

Until now, it was thought that planners would rubber-stamp the proposed mosque, which was agreed in principle in a 2001 deal between Newham Council and Anjuman-e-Islahul Muslimeen. The London Thames Gateway Unitary Development Corporation, the quango with planning powers over the site, is understood to support the plans. So is the London Development Agency, which reports to Ken Livingstone, the mayor of London.

Europe is on the cusp of becoming either completely dhimmi and is demographically headed for becoming Muslim-dominated - sad and dark events in the history of civilized humanity, unless this action is the harbinger of even more "cultural self-defense" to come.

But to summon up and maintain the energy needed to defend European culture, the Europeans will have to throw off their attachment to post modernism. Post modernism has brain-washed nearly half of Europe - if not, half the West! - into believing that Western Civilization has been largely a bad thing throughout history (responsible for most of the history's genocide, Third World poverty, and "man-made" global warming -- THREE DEMONSTRABLY FALSE PROPOSITIONS!). Use of `Mom' and `Dad' Too "Homophobic", Scottish Nurses Told

We read:

"Nurses and other health care professionals should avoid using the terms `mom' and `dad' to refer to family relationships since the terms could be offensive to homosexual couples with children, a new directive published by Scotland's National Health Service recommends.

Issued in conjunction with the country's leading homosexual activist organization Stonewall Scotland, the publication is entitled Fair For All - The Wider Challenge: Good LGBT Practice in the NHS. Americans for Truth reported Feb.11 on the publication's release.

The booklet calls for a "zero-tolerance policy to discriminatory language" among Scotland's health care system. Included in discriminatory language is the use of terms that assume a traditional family structure of mother, father and children, according to the NHS directive....

Along the same lines, the directive points out, use of the terms `husband', `wife' and `marriage' is not acceptable since such terms exclude lesbian, gay and bisexual people. Instead, health care workers should use the terms `partners' and `next of kin'. Since `next of kin' is often understood to mean nearest blood relative, however, the booklet recommends that it may be preferable to use `partner, close friend or close relative' to avoid confusion.

WOMEN WILL BE PAID TO DONATE EGGS

Women being paid for their eggs is one of the many concerns some of us in Missouri had about cloning and embryonic stem cell research. Here are just some of the drawbacks:

But scientists from the University of Padua in Italy have warned that women who donate their eggs for research could be at risk from life-threatening side effects induced by the powerful drugs administered to them. The drugs help to increase the number of eggs produced and were found by the scientists to cause paralysis and could lead to limb amputation and even death.

There were also warnings last night that poor women could be tempted or coerced into taking part for the money. 'The HFEA could be unwittingly opening the door to barter or sale of eggs, including women in Britain as well as abroad, even though it is saying that women doing this would do so for purely altruistic reasons,' said Donna Dickenson, emeritus professor of medical ethics and humanities at the University of London and one of Britain's leading experts on the issue.

'The sum of £250 would still be enough of an inducement for women from eastern Europe, for example, to come to Britain to sell their eggs. That's clearly turning eggs into an object of trade and that's disturbing. Once the principle of egg donation for research is established, it will become harder to prohibit paid egg donation.'

Supporters of Missouri's Amendment 2 said that women would not get paid for their eggs, just compensated for their time and travel. Those opposed to Amendment 2 knew that the women could be paid a generous amount for compensation and there would be nothing anyone could do. This new ruling in the UK just opens another door to this slippery slope of experimenting on human life.

MIDDLE EASTERN countries secretly armed and supported suspected Al-Qaeda recruits in the failed state of Somalia in a direct challenge to western interests in east Africa, according to a United Nations report.

Hundreds of Islamist fighters were flown, with Eritrean assistance, from Somalia to Syria and Libya for military training. Others were taken to Lebanon to fight with Hezbollah, the report to the UN security council has revealed.

UN investigators also detailed military aid given to the Islamists by Saudi Arabia and Egypt, Arab states friendly to the West. Iran also supplied 125 shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles, 80 of which arrived by sea in dhows and the rest by air.

All this goes on while China and Russia and France run interference for the jihadists in the UNSC.

Sunni, Shia, al Qaeda, JI, Hizballah, Iranian, Hamas, Chechnyan, Fatah - who cares what sect or what nation or which jihadist group they belong to. They're all bad and they all need to be destroyed. The sooner, the better.

It's time we acted on the Bush Doctrine and demanded that other nations choose sides: either they're with us or they're against us. And we must punish every nation that is against us. They must fear us more than al Qaeda, Putin, North Korea - and everyone else combined. Only then we will be safe, and only then will the gains humanity has blad for the last 500 years be protected.

PAPON IS DEAD, GOOD RIDDANCE

The AP reports that Maurice Papon, a nazi collaborator in France during WW2, is now dead:

PARIS (AP) — Maurice Papon, who was convicted of crimes against humanity for his role in deporting Jews to Nazi death camps during World War II, has died, his lawyer said Saturday. He was 96.

Papon, who became France's budget minister after the war, was taken to a clinic east of Paris on Thursday for heart problems and was to undergo surgery involving his pacemaker. Lawyer Francis Vuillemin told LCI television that Papon "died peacefully in his sleep."

Let's hope his journey to appear before the highest court won't be as comfortable.
