TODAY'S EDUCATION SYSTEM AND MARXISM

From Conservative Hideout 2.0:
How the State Standards are Indoctrinating our Youth with Marxist Views on the Great Depression

For many long years conservatives have failed badly in teaching the lessons of the Great Depression, instead deferring to the liberals and accepting their ‘lessons’ as the reality of the situation. The damage from years and years of learning the wrong lessons from the Great Depression is that today our nation is replicating the same sorts of policies that led to and lengthened the Depression and it is questionable whether or not there are enough around still educated in different lessons to implement different policies that will lead our nation to greater success and liberty and prosperity.

In 2004, the State of Michigan adopted a revised set of social studies standards- the high school’s standards are called the High School Content Expectations. These HSCE’s are intended to establish what every high school student that graduates from Michigan should know by the time they graduate...
A specific example of material included in this indoctrination program:
...7.1.3 covers “The New Deal,” and according to the state guidelines which all teachers follow which all students learn, students are to take away from this time period several lessons. First, students are supposed to learn that the federal government has a responsibility to protect the environment and should do so by violating the Constitution (TVA) and taking control over formally private business activities- yet this is a judgement and not a history lesson and should not be pushed in public schools. Second, students are supposed to learn that the national government is supposed to be meeting challenges of unemployment by creating jobs, as if a political system designed to protect people’s liberty and property can exist in a nation where the government takes wealth from one group and redistributes it to another and creates businesses in competition to private companies. Students are supposed to learn how the Supreme Court then was wrong in striking down these unconstitutional attempts to twist our nation from a republic into a fascist dictatorship, and that opponents of the New Deal were just heartless and evil businessman who wanted to continue making a buck like the Marxists teach. Finally, students are to learn the consequences of the New Deal, which are listed as “promoting workers’ rights, development of Social Security program, and banking and financial regulation, conservation practices, crop subsidies”- all good consequences and not a single bad consequence listed. Nowhere is it mentioned that the Great Depression was in reality several recessions, all caused by these policies, and that our nation didn’t recover from the Depression until FDR died and many of his policies were rejected and repealed in the 1950′s....
Much more HERE.

Find out what is being taught in our nation's classrooms.  No wonder the parasites are proliferating!

KGB Predicted Obama Like Leader in '84

Hat Tip: Bare Nake Islam

Reliapundit alluded to this a couple of days ago with, coincidentally, the 1984 October Revolution Ceremony video.

We now know how 66 million "Americans" opted for a charlatan, interloping, socialist thug like Barack Hussein Obama.

CHUCK SCHUMER TARGETS THE SUPREME COURT

New York Senator Chuck Schumer is one of the MOST repugnant members of the United States Senate. He is, in fact, an Authoritarian, if not a Stalinist. He would be very happy if we had a form of government where we could get rid of elections and the people are governed by a ruling elite...the kind of government Plato and Marx wrote about.

Schumer is angry that the new conservative members of the Supreme Court have made some decisions that have gone against precedent. In fact, one of the court's liberal members, Stephen Breyer, is actually lobbying members of Congress to look at the recent decisions. Naturally, he was able to persuade the Senate's biggest eunuch, Arlen Specter; [see LMC's post.]

Breyer has publicly raised concerns that conservative justices were violating stare decisis, the legal doctrine that, for the sake of stability, courts should generally leave precedents undisturbed.

"It is not often in the law that so few have so quickly changed so much," Breyer said, reading his dissent from the bench in June to a 5-4 ruling that overturned school desegregation policies in two cities.

Okay, so the court shouldn't ever go against precedent. What is established now is absolutely, Constitutionally correct and not even debatable. What is this, Global Warming?

I'd like to ask Justice Breyer if how he feels about the precedent of the Dred Scott decision. "Oh well, that's was an obvious mistake," he'll say. So what? It's precedent, isn't it?

Anyway, back to the point at hand. Chuck Schumer has declared that Bush will not be allowed to put another conservative on the Supreme Court. Well, democracy was fun while it lasted, wasn't it?

There's another story out today about how Daily Kos and Moveon.org are going to start targeting advertisers on Fox News. Their argument:

"We're not trying to silence anybody," Green said. "Rush Limbaugh has a right to be on the air—he admits his point of view. Fox doesn't."

I'm making a similar call to the Democrat Party. Admit who you really are.

Relipaundit adds:
Great post! I just love how the Lefties say the Constitution is written in stone when it comes to decisions it LIKES (like Roe v Wade - which BTW is based on entirely vestigial science!), but when it comes to things they don't like, then their favorite refrain is, "IT'S A LIVING CONSTITUTION!"

The Democrats have become complete freakin' hypocrites. They have NO PRINCIPLES, only demagoguery and fear-mongering and class-warfare.

That's who I think they are at least - and was raised by Democrats, and first registered as a Dem in 1974 - AND I LIVE AMONG THEM IN NYC! So I know of what and whom I speak!

I voted Bush in 2004, and will probably never ever vote Dem again. This post explains another reason why.

MARX WAS WRONG: IT ISN'T ALWAYS ABOUT THE BENJAMINS

At a basic level, Marxism asserts that human history is always about the
Benjamins.

WIKI:
Marx addressed a wide range of issues; he is most famous for his analysis of history, summed up in the opening line of the introduction to the Communist Manifesto (1848):

"The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles." Marx believed that capitalism would be replaced by communism.
Like most of what Marx asserted, this is TOTALLY WRONG, and WW4 only further proves it: the jihdomaniacs we are fighting are NOT motivated by the Benjamins, but by religious fanaticism - a religion that is not remotely like opium, but more like crystal meth!

And our counter-attack is not about the Benjamins either: we are defending liberty, democracy and universal human rights. And we are fighting to spread democracy and universal human rights to parts of the world where it has never existed before, believing that Afghan women and Iraqi children deserve liberty and freedom and democracy as much as we do.

Those who continue to claim that WW4 IS about the Benjamins - the "Blood for Oil" BusHitler-McChimpy-Halliburton" crowd are idiots. Our defense of Europe and Japan and South Korea have cost the US taxpayer TRILLIONS, and the USA has never collected a PENNY from these beneficiary nations, nor conscripted their young.

Never before has a nation given so much - so UN-self-ISH-ly - for the spread of human liberty.

Why does America do this? Because it is in the "American DNA" - our founding documents implore it, and the real histories of the immigrants who have come here DEMAND it.

If we abandon the Iraqis before utterly defeating the jihadomaniacs there, then we will not only be abandoning them to tyranny - (as we ashamedly did the South Vietnamese), but we will be turning our back on our founding principles and the family histories of our citizens.

If this happens it will happen ONLY as result of the Left - and the MSM and the Democrat Party they control.

Which is why I have been saying this for years: In order to defeat the jihadist enemy abroad, we must first defeat the Leftist enemy at home.

CULTURAL MARXISM IN AMERICA

Here at The Astute Bloggers, we're always keeping an eye on political correctness in America. We also know that "political correctness" is just a politically correct(!) term for Cultural Marxism.

To wit, Linda Kimball over at The American Thinker has an excellent primer on the rise of this scourge, the best such piece I've read since Punditarian's recent posts. Here's a little taste:
A corresponding and diabolically crafted idea is political correctness. The strong suggestion here is that in order for one not to be thought of as racist or fascist, then one must not only be nonjudgmental but must also embrace the ‘new' moral absolutes: diversity, choice, sensitivity, sexual orientation, and tolerance. Political correctness is a Machiavellian psychological ‘command and control' device. Its purpose is the imposition of uniformity in thought, speech, and behavior.
