A young woman has been stoned to death in central Afghanistan after being accused of adultery, officials say. A video appearing to show the punishment has been posted online. The 30-second clip shows a woman in a hole in the ground surrounded by turbaned men who hurl stones at her. Her fiance was lashed. 

The woman, named as Rokhshana and aged between 19 and 21, can be heard repeatedly and desperately professing her Muslim faith as the stones strike. The Tolo news agency reported that the killing took place about a week ago in a Taliban-controlled area just outside Firozkoh, the capital of central Ghor province. 

It has been sourced and released by international broadcaster Radio Free Europe. It reported that a crowd of spectators captured the incident on their mobile phones as the woman's cries filled the air. The woman and her 23-year-old fiance had allegedly fled from their families in a bid to find a place to be married, RFE reported. Officials in Ghor told the AFP news agency that Rokhshana was stoned by a gathering of "Taliban, local religious leaders and armed warlords.

• Industrialization has extended life-spans and living standards; it doesn't hurt them. Life-spans and living standards are lower in the un-industrialized Third World. And they were lower in pre-industrialized Europe than in the cities of industrializing Europe; this is why folks on the farm moved to the cites; it's why they still do! 

• The Third World is NOT poor as a result of colonialization - the Third World is poor because they haven't industrialized and have too much socialism. The West did not impoverish the Third World; the Third World's lack of westernization is keeping them as poor now as they have always been. 

• For thousands of years, the West's traditional sexual mores and institutions have helped stabilize families - (the basic building block of society) - and helped families raise pro-social children who grow up to be responsible adults. Societies with non-Western sexual mores and institutions have a poorer record of this, and statistics prove that fatherless homes of any/all races raise criminals and populate our prisons. Wanton sexual promiscuity spreads criminality and disease.

People on the postmodern left ignore history; they ignore socialism's consistent record of failure - both in economic growth AND in delivering goods and services to the masses; they ignore islam's record of tyranny and genocide and intolerance and ignorance; and they have always excused the totalitarianism of their fellow leftists. 

The postmodern left also ignores the fact that traditional, bourgeois, capitalist, and industrial societies are responsible for everything good about modern life: our longer and healthier life spans, our greater material prosperity, and our ability to enjoy our innate rights and liberties.

• And Obama gave into Putin and surrendered eastern Europe when he withdrew missile defense from eastern Europe as part of the Russian Reset, which set the stage for "even more flexibility" and Putin's invasion of Crimea and eastern Ukraine.
• Obama has weakened our military, while standing by and doing nothing as our vets were mistreated - an issue he campaigned on in 2008.
• Obama has allowed huge hacks of our national data and his DOJ is protecting a former Sec State who endangered national security by using a private server.

Taken together and seen as an overall foreign policy, there should be no doubt that he is a traitor to the USA, our allies and the West.

Some critics blame ineptness, naivete, and bad luck, but these acts and the effects of these acts are too consistent to be seen as a result of naivete, ineptness or bad luck. 

Further proof is the fact that these acts reflect and dovetail with the longtime beliefs and policies of the postmodern left, the blame America first crowd who have long loudly proclaimed USA hegemony is, and has long been, the root of global poverty, war, colonialism, and the main reason we do not have the one-world socialist government they have longed for for nearly a century.

Turkey is getting ready for a national civil war as Erdogan and the AKP desperately try to hold onto power as their young people and their Kurds revolt - and they are flooded with refugees,..

Iran is about to get a nuke one way or another, by building it or buying it, but all this really does is bring the whole damn world closer to total annihilation...

Meanwhile India wallows around unable to develop its people or economy as China did and wary of Pakistan - whose nukes might easily fall under the control of islamists....

Meanwhile in northeast Asia, Japan has reached the demographic point of no return, and South Korea and North Korea edge ever closer to war...

WHAT CAN STOP THIS SEEMINGLY INEXORABLE CRASH OF HUMANITY ON EARTH?

I think only a few things that are on the near-term horizon:

1 - THE ADVENT OF COMMERCIAL FUSION ENERGY - which will provide clean cheap sustainable energy to all humanity and moot the anthropogenic climate change hysteria which has retarded economic growth and squelched improvements to QOL and life-spans for 1/3 of humanity.

2 - CURING CANCER AND MOST DISEASES, and greatly lengthening youthful lifespans. This will decrease most people's desire to use violence, terror and war, but make threats of same a more powerful weapon for a minority - a minority which might finally be eradicated since they threaten much more in a world in which people might live to be 150.

3 - NANOTECHNOLOGY WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING.

I think these three innovations could become a part of everday reality within the next ten years.

I'm just not sure that Weatern Civilization will last that long. 

In the next ten years, Iran, ISIS, China, North Korea, Pakistan, and Putin might ignite a global nuclear war.

Meanwhile, the attack on our civilizations foundations from within by Gramscian postmodern leftists threatens to destroy us from within.

And then there's the possibility of total, global economic collapse.

It seems to me that these three grave threats - (the hegemonistic mania of the totalitarian states and islamism which bring war and terror and destruction, and the socialistic utopian mania of so-called progressives who bring us economic and moral bankruptcy, libertinage, anarchy and decadence) - might easily lead humanity to total collapse within the next ten years.

As Yeats wrote right after the first global war:

I think the Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner thing contradicts itself and exposes the contradictions within the postmodernist vision of feminism and genderism.

Bruce didn't just want to have a vagina and pendulous breasts - or to take care of home and hearth, have babies and nurse them; he wanted lipstick and high heels and dresses.

Doesn't that prove that, despite what he and the transgender advocates argue, he was really only identifying with the socially constructed aspects of gender and not the genetically inheritable aspects - unless you believe that dresses and lipstick and high heels are genetically encoded, which the postmodern feminists certainly do not believe.

If, as the pomo leftists believe, gender is socially constructed, then all Bruce Jenner, and other boys and men who think they are really girls and women, would really crave are vaginas and breasts and lots of estrogen. Because the transgender crave the things the left says are socially constructed, it would aeem their ceaving cannot be genetically bases, but must also be constructed.

And why do so many homosexual men seem effeminate, and so many lesbians... butch? Are their homosexual genes preprogrammed to ceave socially constructed trappings of gender?

Johns Hopkins Psychiatrist: Transgender is ‘Mental Disorder;' Sex Change ‘Biologically Impossible’

Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital and its current Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry, said that transgenderism is a “mental disorder” that merits treatment, that sex change is “biologically impossible,” and that people who promote sexual reassignment surgery are collaborating with and promoting a mental disorder. Dr. McHugh, the author of six books and at least 125 peer-reviewed medical articles, made his remarks in a recent commentary in the Wall Street Journal, where he explained that transgender surgery is not the solution for people who suffer a “disorder of ‘assumption’” – the notion that their maleness or femaleness is different than what nature assigned to them biologically.  

He also reported on a new study showing that the suicide rate among transgendered people who had reassignment surgery is 20 times higher than the suicide rate among non-transgender people. Dr. McHugh further noted studies from Vanderbilt University and London’s Portman Clinic of children who had expressed transgender feelings but for whom, over time, 70%-80% “spontaneously lost those feelings.” 

While the Obama administration, Hollywood, and major media such as Time magazine promote transgenderism as normal, said Dr. McHugh, these “policy makers and the media are doing no favors either to the public or the transgendered by treating their confusions as a right in need of defending rather than as a mental disorder that deserves understanding, treatment and prevention. ... This intensely felt sense of being transgendered constitutes a mental disorder in two respects. The first is that the idea of sex misalignment is simply mistaken – it does not correspond with physical reality. The second is that it can lead to grim psychological outcomes.” The transgendered person’s disorder, said Dr. McHugh, is in the person’s “assumption” that they are different than the physical reality of their body, their maleness or femaleness, as assigned by nature. 

It is a disorder similar to a “dangerously thin” person suffering anorexia who looks in the mirror and thinks they are “overweight,” said McHugh. This assumption, that one’s gender is only in the mind regardless of anatomical reality, has led some transgendered people to push for social acceptance and affirmation of their own subjective “personal truth,” said Dr. McHugh. As a result, some states – California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts – have passed laws barring psychiatrists, “even with parental permission, from striving to restore natural gender feelings to a transgender minor,” he said. 

The pro-transgender advocates do not want to know, said McHugh, that studies show between 70% and 80% of children who express transgender feelings “spontaneously lose those feelings” over time. Also, for those who had sexual reassignment surgery, most said they were “satisfied” with the operation “but their subsequent psycho-social adjustments were no better than those who didn’t have the surgery.” 

“And so at Hopkins we stopped doing sex-reassignment surgery, since producing a ‘satisfied’ but still troubled patient seemed an inadequate reason for surgically amputating normal organs,” said Dr. McHugh. The former Johns Hopkins chief of psychiatry also warned against enabling or encouraging certain subgroups of the transgendered, such as young people “susceptible to suggestion from ‘everything is normal’ sex education,” and the schools’ “diversity counselors” who, like “cult leaders,” may “encourage these young people to distance themselves from their families and offer advice on rebutting arguments against having transgender surgery.” 

Dr. McHugh also reported that there are “misguided doctors” who, working with very young children who seem to imitate the opposite sex, will administer “puberty-delaying hormones to render later sex-change surgeries less onerous – even though the drugs stunt the children’s growth and risk causing sterility.” Such action comes “close to child abuse,” said Dr. McHugh, given that close to 80% of those kids will “abandon their confusion and grow naturally into adult life if untreated ….”

Paul Rodney McHugh (born 1931) is an American psychiatrist, researcher, and educator. He is University Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine[1] 

Education 

McHugh was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the son of a Lowell High School teacher and a homemaker,[2][3] He graduated from Harvard College in 1952 and from Harvard Medical School in 1956. While at Harvard he was "introduced to and ultimately directed away from the Freudian school of psychiatry."[4][5] 

Following medical school, McHugh's education was influenced by George Thorn, the Physician-in-Chief at the Harvard-affiliated Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (now Brigham and Women's Hospital). Thorn was disillusioned with Freudian psychiatry and felt that those who devoted themselves to it became single-minded, failing to grow as doctors. Thorn encouraged McHugh to develop a different career path, suggesting that he enter the field of psychiatry by first studying neurology. At Thorn's recommendation, McHugh was accepted into the neurology and neuropathology residency program at the Massachusetts General Hospital where he studied for three years under Dr. Raymond Adams, the chief of the Neurology Department.[6] 

From Massachusetts General, McHugh went to the Institute of Psychiatry in London (where he studied under Sir Aubrey Lewis and was supervised by James Gibbons and Gerald Russell). Following his year in London, McHugh went to the Division of Neuropsychiatry at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.[7] 

McHugh believes that adult males who wish to surgically alter themselves to appear anatomically female fall into two main groups: (1) "conflicted and guilt-ridden homosexual men"[24] and (2) "heterosexual (and some bisexual) males who found intense sexual arousal in cross-dressing as females".[25] McHugh, had several other impressions: First, "they [the transgendered individuals] were little changed in their psychological condition. They had much the same problems with relationships, work, and emotions as before. The hope that they would emerge now from their emotional difficulties to flourish psychologically had not been fulfilled".[26] 

Second, they expressed little interest in and seemed indifferent to babies or children (typically female interests).[27] Third, they came off as caricatures of the opposite sex.[28] McHugh, P. R. • In the 20th C alone, socialism killed more people than did Judeo-Christianity in the preceding 19 centuries. Since its inception - and globally - Islam killed more people than socialism - or any other ideology... EVER.

• Industrialization has extended life-spans and living standards; it doesn't hurt them. Life-spans and living standards are lower in the un-industrialized Third World. And they were lower in pre-industrialized Europe than in the cities of industrializing Europe; this is why folks on the farm moved to the cites; it's why they still do!

• The Third World is NOT poor as a result of colonialization - the Third World is poor because they haven't industrialized and have too much socialism. The West did not impoverish the Third World; the Third World's lack of westernization is keeping them as poor now as they have always been.

• For thousands of years, the West's traditional sexual mores and institutions have helped stabilize families - (the basic building block of society) - and helped families raise pro-social children who grow up to be responsible adults. Societies with non-Western sexual mores and institutions have a poorer record of this, and statistics prove that fatherless homes of any/all races raise criminals and populate our prisons. Wanton sexual promiscuity spreads criminality and disease.

People on the postmodern left ignore history; they ignore socialism's consistent record of failure - both in economic growth AND in delivering goods and services to the masses; they ignore islam's record of tyranny and genocide and intolerance and ignorance; and they have always excused the totalitarianism of their fellow leftists.

The postmodern left also ignores the fact that traditional, bourgeois, capitalist, and industrial societies are responsible for everything good about modern life: our longer and healthier life spans, our greater material prosperity, and our ability to enjoy our innate rights and liberties.

The people on postmodern left are a mix of the brainwashed, the willfully ignorant and the deliberately nihilistic.

Their hatred for the West is why they function as a fifth column for the islamo-fascists; they want the West demolished, and they see the islamists as allies in that cause - allies who are justified to use terror against the "colonial, racist, sexually repressive, polluting, genocidal" West.

Because the postmodern left dominates the academy and the mass media - each which brainwash each succeeding generation, they comprise nearly a third of the West's population - enough in many parliamentary democracies to gain and hold power. The nations where the postmodern left has held power are weaker economically and more vulnerable to islamization and dhimmitude as a result.

And because the West is an alliance of sorts - via transnational institutions such as the UN, NATO, the EU - the postmodern left has weakened our entire civilization.

This is why I have long argued that we need to defeat the postmodern left before we can defeat the islamists.

We currently have a postmodern leftist in the White House. That's why the postmodernists and the islamists and Putin and China and Iran have been doing so well the last few years.

The tide cannot turn until we elect a president who loves the West and wants to defend it.

TRANSNATIONALISM IS THE PROBLEM AND NATIONALISM IS THE SOLUTION

After WW2, Europeans felt exhausted and ashamed by their half-century and decided that nationalism was the cause of their genocial past so they developed a program to end nationalism - the EU. It took decades of slow methodical work, but they finally achieved their goal.

And it's another disaster.

European transnationalism is one of the major factors of the current strife in Europe; it created and maintains the diathesis Europe has for social and civil disintegration of which jihado-terror by native born Europeans is possible because by denigrating the nation-state they have denigrated a foundation for the sense of belonging. Why should young people feel French, for example, if France is no longer as important as the EU?

Transnationalism plays a role on the other side of the equation, too.

Islam has long been a transnational movement - one which since its inception has used violence, war and terror to gain adherents and territory. This transnationalist tendency has had a major resurgence since the end of the Cold War. Prior to that Arabs tried a few times to establish an Arabic transnational structure not ulike the EU - the UAR.

The ummah is the islamic version and re-establishing the Caliphate - and expanding it is now a major goal of the jihadists.

The no-go zones in France and throughout Europe are no enclaves; they are colonies - and way-stations on the road to a Europe which is entirely under control of a Caliphate they hope to re-establish which goes from Portugal to the Philippines.

This two-headed transnationalist monster must be beheaded if we are to defeat the jihadists.

I have long argued that we need to defeat the left at home if we are to defeat the jihadists globally.

And defeating transnationalism must be part of this effort.

To defeat multi-culturalism and jihadism we need to re-assert nationalism and ethno-centrism.

Greece needs a Greek currency and self-rule.
Ditto Italy and Spain and France.
And so on.

If Europe's nations are shackled to a transnationalist bureaucracy run by postmodern leftists, then the will inevitable fail to defeat the jihadists; they will be replaced by them.

For many apologists, though, it’s just easier to call the jihadists “crazy.” Here’s Vox’s Ezra Klein, long-time purveyor of progressive orthodoxy, opining on the Paris murders. He fingers “the madness of the perpetrators, who did something horrible and evil that almost no human beings anywhere ever do, and the condemnation doesn’t need to be any more complex than saying unprovoked mass slaughter is wrong.”

This repeats Jimmy Carter’s mistake about the Ayatollah Khomeini, whom he called a “crazy man.” But jihadists are not insane, and their violence cannot be dismissed so simply. They are proud Muslims, adherents of a 14-centuries-old faith that conquered its way to one of history’s largest empires, the warriors before whom a now dominant, arrogant West once trembled. Their faith preaches that Allah wills the whole world to be united under the rule of Islam and its illiberal, totalitarian law code. Those who resist and refuse to convert are defying Allah; they are the enemies of Islam, the denizens of the “House of War” who endanger the spiritual wellbeing of the faithful in the “House of Islam.” As such, the infidels are the legitimate objects of Muslim violence, conquest, enslavement, and dominance, an aggression recorded on every page of history. If you want contemporary evidence for the reality of jihad, look around the world today, where Muslim violence is endemic, and accompanied by theological arguments drawn straight from Islamic scripture, theology, and jurisprudence.

So contra Klein, the Paris jihadists didn’t do something “that almost no human beings anywhere ever do.” As we speak, plenty of Muslim human beings every day in Nigeria, Libya, Syria, northern Iraq, Afghanistan, and Yemen, to name a few venues of jihadist violence, are doing “horrible” things like murder, torture, beheadings, rape, sex-slavery, crucifixion, and all the other atrocities that are also copiously documented in the history of Islamic conquest and occupation. As a brave Egyptian critic of Islam, Ahmed Harqan, asked recently, “What has ISIS done that Muhammad did not do?” Thus it’s no coincidence that of the 7 global conflicts costing at least 1000 lives a year, 6 involve Muslims.

And yet western "leaders" vehemently refuse to listen to these critics. Worse, they even allow creatures like Mahmoud Abbas to attend (which didn't impress Hamas), and ignore the disgusting, phony "tributes" Turkey and Hamas set up. All that does is deliver signs they don't want to learn lessons, because their obsessions are too dear for them.

UVA Sex Fantasy and the Rape of Our Nation's Reason

(This post is as much a response to Conservatives who pay attention to this stupid story, as it is to the Leftist maniacs who invented and perpetuate the story in the first place.)

Is this really a story? Is this worthy of being really big news?

We've got a President trying to Federalize the Police. We've got a President who wants a AUMF but doesn't want to tell Congress WHY or WHAT FOR.

We've got riots in the streets. Someone burnt down a major building in Los Angeles.

That is LEFTIST TERRORISM on a massive scale AND NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT.

Why are people talking about this poor, demented young lady who imagined that some boy liked her enough to "rape" her? Because that's what it is IN MY OPINION.

She doesn't get dates, so she reads female erotica, gets turned on, feels bad about it - because her Women's Studies classes tell her she should - and then reports her fantasies as rape to exonerate herself.

The mass media is doing more than carrying water for Obama. They are functioning as a wing of the Democratic party, like Pravda.

The mass media ignores Gruber. And they ignore the fact that our enemies have grown in power and breadth since Obama was sworn in, while our friends have been marginalized.

They ignore Iran. They ignore Russia in Ukraine. And they portary the Police as uniformly racist, in an attempt to stoke a movement they are claiming is even bigger than Occupy Wall Street.,

But, meanwhile, both are Democratic Party and the Leftist media are flopping in term of numbers.

But back to the UVA Rape "story". A friend of mine commented:

Lefties need a safe sandbox to play out their melodrama fantasies in. They seem to have hit upon the notion of a 'campus rape epidemic' recently. I don't understand why, but this idee fixe has captured their fancy so much that reality can't possibly intrude.  

There's definitely a feeling of escapism about it. Nevermind there are actually entire quasi-nations that are practically premised on raping nowadays. No, what's really important is there's a totally-made-up 'crisis' among (mostly) upper middle class white girls attending $40k+/year East Coast universities, supposedly getting raped at a 25% rate that would make the 17th century Tripoli pirates blush.  

 (This is not to say that actual rapes do not occur, of course it happens, bla bla. In fact you probably saw that story about five guys arrested in New Jersey - but did that story capture the fancy of the Campus Rape Epidemic people? Nope. Why? Crap university, and mostly nonwhite perps. Not part of the storyline. Duh)  

 The best analogy I've seen is someone who likened it to the sort of 'hysteria' (irrational, socially-spread behavior among women as a cry for attention) that led to 'witchcraft' charges in places like the early colonies. I think it is becoming a socially-transmitted sickness among some.  

I do feel sorry for that Virginia girl, she does seem to have genuine problems. The whole story is far more lurid and messed-up than just the rape story - fake texts from a made-up boyfriend, etc. It's clearly a rich fantasy delusion she was building up, and she clearly needs help.  

Then again I don't feel *that* sorry, given that genuine harm has now been done to others by these fantasies, in fact it's just sheer luck that worse harm hasn't been done.

The whole thing reminds me of this old song by Helen Reddy. Replace the "radio" with Women's Studies Classes and the Leftist media, and you have the Postmodern version of this old chestnut.
