U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., warned Defense Secretary Leon Panetta not to treat the Marines accused of urinating on Taliban corpses too harshly.
The Marines should be disciplined but should not be punished "for the purpose of making a statement to our partners in the region," Hunter wrote in a letter to Panetta Wednesday, The Hill reported.
I GOT A BETTER IDEA:
THE HOUSE GOP OUGHT TO SUBPOENA THE URINATING MARINES TO TESTIFY - IN PRIVATE SESSION - IN ORDER TO ASK THEM ABOUT THE INCIDENT, AND OF COURSE THEY MUST GRANT THEM IMMUNITY SO THEY CAN TESTIFY THOROUGHLY.PROBLEM SOLVED.
