It's not just Obama. He is simply the end product.
The military's treatment of Nidal Hasan (prior to his obviously predictable revelation) vs Steven Coughlin is ICONIC of the way this nation looks at the danger.
The USA simply cannot conceive of a conflict in which the enemy will compel you to kill them FOREVER because they themselves are unable to relent and find a common ground in our ways of living.
More, far worse than any neo-connish wish that any elected govt will eventually turn to fixing roads and building schools in order to remain in elected power, is the progressive ideology which thinks of our actions as almost always wrong because we are bad and born bad as a nation, and if we could just leave everyone alone to find their egalitarian social justice selves, all will be well.
Of course they ALSO cannot conceive that what the VAST majority of the 1.3 billion want, is MUCH MORE QURAN in their everyday lives.
