APARTMENT OF FIRST BULLDOZER TERRORIST DEMOLISHED

Some justice has finally been done by obliterating the house of the tractor terrorist who murdered 3 people and injured many others last year:

(IsraelNN.com) The rumble of a bulldozer and other heavy construction equipment disrupted the quiet of Jerusalem on Tuesday morning, as police began demolition of the apartment of last summer’s first bulldozer terrorist.

The intricate work continued throughout the afternoon, despite an attempted car terrorist attack, and subsequent riots when the terrorist was neutralized by police.

Three people were murdered in the July 2, 2008 attack and more than 40 others were wounded before an off-duty soldier managed to neutralize the 30-year-old attacker, Husam Dwayat. A father of two, the Tzur Baher resident was a construction worker for the Jerusalem municipality.

A large police force was deployed on the scene and throughout the neighborhood to secure the demolition.

When someone as repulsive as that commits an even more repulsive crime, they should be made to expect the loss of a "home" they don't deserve. I recommend building a park/garden in place of that stupid structure.

As they were working on the demolition, another bigot, mentioned above, tried to ram 3 officers with a car:

(IsraelNN.com) An Arab terrorist attempted on Tuesday afternoon to attack Israeli forces securing the demolition of the home of Jerusalem’s first bulldozer terrorist.

While police were destroying the building that housed the 30-year-old Tzur Baher (Har Homa) resident who last year murdered three civilians and wounded 45 others, the inhabitant of the nearby Jabel Mukabar neighborhood attempted a similar move with his own vehicle.

The Arab driver, 20-year-old Iyyad Azmi Awisat appeared to be leaving the neighborhood, but then tried to run over a group of Border Police officers who were stationed by a square at a security post, where they were inspecting cars and people entering the area.

The officers, realizing they were being targeted, tried to flee. Three officers suffered light leg wounds and were evacuated to Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in the capital.

The commander of the Border Police unit fired at the vehicle, while additional security forces fired from an adjacent wall, mortally wounding the terrorist driver. He died a short while later.

Additional police forces have been called to the scene. Demolition of the previous terrorist’s home proceeded without interruption.

That hit-and-run attemptee can go to hell. If he hadn't died, he could have his citizenship revoked and a declaration made that he's no longer a citizen of Jerusalem.

CAIR Crows Over BHO

First thing on this morning's news, before I had even gotten down my first cup of coffee, one of the local news channels here welcomed CAIR's co-founder and Director Nihad Awad for a smarmy interview, in which the news anchor appeared thrilled to be graced with the presence of one of those Moslems to whom BHO has reached out at least three times since taking office last January 20 — most recently, yesterday in Turkey.

In this morning's interview, according to Nihad Awad, who participated in a 1993 Hamas meeting in the United States — a fact apparently unknown by the interviewer — BHO is an American President who understands the following: "American Muslims have suffered tremendously since 9/11." Perennial victimhood in the typical style of CAIR, and the news anchor nodded both solemnly and eagerly in agreement as she sucked down the Kool-aid in huge gulps.

I, on the other hand, nearly choked on my coffee....

UK TIMES OPPOSES "NEW TOWN" IN ISRAEL

The Times is predictably turning to more Israel-bashing, and seeking to undermine Israeli sovereignty. They say:

The sign in big, red Hebrew letters reads “Welcome to Mevasseret Adumim, the Harbinger of the Hills”. A three-lane road with roundabouts leads up the hill to a police station and street lamps line the flyover that links the new town to neighbouring Ma'aleh Adumim, one of the largest Jewish settlements in Israel.

There are no houses, cars or people in Mevasseret Adumim: it is a town laid out, waiting to be built. That is because international pressure has so far prevented construction from going ahead. The area is the last piece of open land linking Arab East Jerusalem to the West Bank and critics said that to develop it would bury the very notion of a two-state solution to the Middle East crisis.

According to reports in the Israeli media, the area has been earmarked for development under a secret accord between Binyamin Netanyahu, the new, conservative Israeli Prime Minister, and his ultra-nationalist Foreign Minister, Avigdor Lieberman.

Better known under its old British mandate name, E1, it is the most controversial development project in the region, one that diplomats and observers warn will trigger the collapse of the weakened Palestinian Authority, or drive it into armed resistance again.

I wouldn't be surprised if what they speak of is actually just another neighborhood in the making, either for Maaleh Adumim itself or the one that's supposed to be built to connect Jerusalem and that area, and isn't exactly a new town. But the Times would rather their subjects in Britain think otherwise and fan more flames of hate against Israel. Notice how they also call Netanyahu a conservative and speak of a "secret deal" between him and Lieberman as a way of inciting against them.

The purpose of this is simply to help provide Jerusalem and Maaleh Adumim with special safety elements, and part of the city's own natural growth process. And it's been in planning for some time already. So message to the Times: shut up.

Of course his audience was mainly students. That figures. But what does he mean by Europe's leading role in the world? Europe plays almost no role in leading the world. Post hasn't run a full story on it, and while Michael Fletcher, their White House correspondent, did run an online question about it, he still seemed to prefer avoiding the challenging answers about it.

I can guess why they'd rather avoid the subject - they don't want the black community to know that Obama, as a man of black descent, did something that's insulting and demeaning to the community. Challenging question then: does this not suggest that the MSM really does have contempt for racial minorities?

NYC RAISES TERROR THREAT PROTECTION DURING PESACH DUE TO ISRAELI-IRANIAN TENSIONS

JPOST/AP: NYC police worries over terror threats

Concerns that Muslim extremist groups might retaliate against civilians in the city's Jewish community if Israel were to attack Iran's nuclear facilities prompted the NYPD to put together a response plan that includes deploying extra officers, including heavily armed Hercules Teams, to synagogues, Jewish community centers and Israeli diplomatic offices.

The nation's largest police department revealed for the first time this week that it took similar precautions in 2008 after senior Hizbullah terrorist Imad Mughniyeh was killed in a car bombing in Syria. The group blamed Israel for Mughniyeh's death.

"Just in case there was some kind of retaliation in New York, we had an operational plan that was implemented within hours of knowing he was hit," Mitch Silber, a top NYPD intelligence analyst, said Friday at a briefing about security measures for Pessah.

There have been no specific threats reported against the city for the holiday, which starts at sundown Wednesday. But officials say the NYPD, since sharpening its focus on anti-terrorism after the September 11, 2001, attacks, has kept a constant eye on militant groups like Hizbullah for signs they might attack the largest Jewish population outside of Israel.

HIZBALLAH HAS ATTACKED JEWISH SITES OVERSEAS BEFORE:

Hoping to get a better understanding of terror tactics, the department sent a three-member Intelligence Division team headed by Assistant Commissioner Lawrence Sanchez to Argentina in 2008 to confer with authorities about two notorious attacks there.

The first was the deadly 1992 bombing of the Israeli Embassy, which came after Israel assassinated a Hizbullah leader. The other was a 1994 community center bombing, purportedly organized by Mughniyeh, that occurred after Israel aptured a Hizbullah leader in Lebanon.

The detectives were struck by how the attacks occurred on the other side of the globe within weeks of possible provocation a quick turnaround that suggested reconnaissance on South America's largest Jewish community had been done much earlier in anticipation it would come in handy later.

The NYPD believes similar surveillance might have already occurred in New York.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) said 21 trusts needed to make urgent improvements on issues such as cleanliness as part of efforts to cut hospital "superbug" infections such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile.

These included 10 acute trusts, six primary care trusts, four mental health care trusts and one ambulance trust.

Some have been given set deadlines to make improvements while others must meet ongoing conditions to ensure they can maintain their CQC registration, which trusts now require to allow them to treat patients.

Those that fail to do so face enforcement action including fines, prosecution and in extreme cases closure.

NYTIMES: Russia Keeps Some Troops in Georgia, Defying Deal

Nearly eight months after the war between Russia and Georgia, Russian troops continue to hold Georgian territory that the Kremlin agreed to vacate as part of a formal cease-fire, leaving a basic condition of that agreement unfulfilled.

The Russian military, working with the governments and the small military forces of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, two separatist regions in Georgia, has stationed forces in two large swaths of territory that were under Georgian control before the war. Observers and diplomats say Russia has also used attack helicopters and stationed tanks in areas where none existed before the war.

The sustained Russian military presence on land captured last summer — evident during two recent days spent in the area by two reporters — provides a backdrop of lingering disagreement between the West and Russia at a crucial time: The Obama administration is pledging to recalibrate the relationship with Russia, restore cooperation in other areas and explore a new treaty on nuclear arms.

The Weekly Standard comments on a Time Magazine report regarding the complicated & successful aerial strike carried out by the IAF against a combination of Sudanese and Iranian Islamo-Fascist terrorists who were attempting to smuggle arms to Gaza:

Time magazine reports that Israel's January attack on an Iranian arms shipment through the Sudanese desert consisted of a strike package of "dozens of aircraft." The successful raid, which was a fusion of UAVs for recce work, F-15i fighters for air superiority, F-16's for ground attack, and tanker aircraft to extend fighter range, was thrown together with less than a week's planning. The Israeli Air Force, legendary for their boldness, even went so far as to fly their KC-130H tankers on a refueling track above the Red Sea, wedged between Egyptian and Saudi airspace -- no small feat, considering the Egyptians fly very similar variants of the Israeli F-16 and the Saudis fly AWACs guided F-15s.

Interestingly enough, the distance in nautical mileage between Israel and Khartoum is roughly the same as Israel and Tehran, demonstrating that the IAF has a combat-tested lethality at ranges of 2,000nm or more. Now that doesn't quite solve the question of a safe ingress/egress route into and out of Iranian airspace, nor does it address the issue of the sophisticated Iranian integrated air defense network. But it does prove that the Israelis have the legs (and the chutzpa) to transverse thousands of miles over hostile territory to break stuff that makes them nervous. This attack was for a weapons convoy porting small arms and short-range rockets. One can only speculate what type of strike package the IAF is dreaming up for a full blown nuclear weapons program.

The Bulletin reports that the reports that IDF soldiers killed in cold blood have been ruled phony:

Jerusalem — An inquest into rumored abuses against Palestinian civilians by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during January’s Gaza incursion has been closed.

The investigation came about as a result of press rumors the IDF had killed several Palestinian women in cold blood during military action in Gaza, following the publication of transcripts in the major press from a February conference that was held at the Rabin Pre-Military Academy.

The conference was attended by Israeli soldiers who had taken part in the Gaza operation in January, and the allegations were made about the unjustified shooting at innocent civilians at that time.

Israel’s judge advocate general, Brig. Gen. Avi Mendelblit, decided to close the Israeli Military Police Corps’ investigation after he determined the underlying evidence had been based on rumors and innuendo rather than hard evidence. The decisive portion of the investigation into the IDF’s having allegedly killed the noncombatants was undermined when the judge and investigators determined the rumors were not based on personal knowledge emanating from two Israeli soldiers who had started the rumors.

No corroborating evidence surfaced at the Rabin Pre-Military Academy, where the rumors first arose. The Military Police Corps interviewed all of the soldiers who spoke at the February conference at the academy and found none of those who spoken there had been involved in combat during the Gaza offensive. Consequently, none of them had first-hand knowledge of what had allegedly happened.

It's a little too late though. But now that the blood libel has been discredited, will Haaretz apologize for perpetuating the lies? I doubt it. But I do know that the sensible will not buy another copy of their cruddy paper ever again. We'd be much better off without dirty newspapers like them around.

AXE-WIELDING REPUGNANCE

A terrorist attacked and murdered a boy with an axe:

An axe-wielding terrorist infiltrated the West Bank settlement of Bat Ayin Thursday afternoon, killing 16-year-old Shlomo Nativ and wounded a 7-year-old boy.

Government spokesman Mark Regev condemned the attack as a "senseless act of brutality against innocents."

Speaking by phone from the scene, Magen David Adom paramedic Ronen Bashri told The Jerusalem Post that ambulances and emergency response teams were called to the settlement after receiving a report of an axe attack.

"We found a seven-year-old boy fully conscious with a head injury caused by a sharp object," Bashri said. "And we found a 16-year-old whom we had to declare dead on the scene."

Less than an hour after the attack, the Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility. A murky terrorist group calling itself the Martyrs of Imad Mughniyeh also claimed responsibility for the attack in an e-mail sent to the Associated Press.

For its part, Hamas called the attack a natural response to the "occupation."

"This attack was committed in the framework of the resistance," Ayman Taha, a spokesperson for the group said. "This is a reaction to the continuing occupation and the continued building of settlements."

This was no doubt planned following the new government's appointment. They will now have to prove that they are capable of responding soundly.

Let me begin by saying how happy I am to see that Ehud Olmert is finally out. Benjamin Netanyahu is now the prime minister of Israel once again after a decade.

I'm not happy that the cabinet has to consist of as many as 30 ministers, but this apparently had what to do with the greed of these smaller parties, who may be the ones to blame.

And if there's anyone else to blame, I think the National Union is going to have to take some, because their abysmal talents in negotiating coalition agreements has cost them the chance to have a possible ministry. What their leader, Ya'akov Katz, did was to issue an ultimatum to Netanyahu, that either he give them the construction ministry or they wouldn't join. I can see now why Caroline Glick was mad at them - that's no way to maintain coalition negotiations by implying that they won't be reliable coalition partners and making things too hard for the head.

But now, if this info is correct, it looks like the NU hasn't made things any better:

Also voting against the government was the Ichud Leumi (National Union) party, which stood by its demand that Prime Minister Netanyahu declare a position against the establishment of a new Arab state within Israel’s current borders.

As much as I'd like to credit them for demanding the aforementioned position, I get the strange feeling that their vote against approval of the government was less than altruistic. And I don't think they should have done that. What if it resulted in the government falling before it begun? And why do I have my doubts they really want to get rid of a bad government?

I'd like to think that if they're going to be in the opposition, that they'll learn a lesson for their incompetent strategy in negotiating a coalition deal. But I get the feeling they won't. Nice going there, NU. All you've done is make it sound like you've got nothing more than sour grapes, and for now, you've cost yourselves what could've been a promising role in the government.

Another problem with them, I suppose, is that the NU does not have a clear stance on industry and finance, which, if they were to show some serious talent and a willingness to reach out to people on the issues, might get them more respect. But they haven't ever shown any real talent in that capacity, and that's one more reason why it's hard to credit them.

PHILIPPINE HOSTAGE SITUATION WORSENS

A state of emergency has been imposed on a southern Philippine island where militants holding three aid workers have threatened to kill one of them.

The declaration puts all security forces on alert on Jolo island and curtails the movement of people.

The Abu Sayyaf rebels had threatened to behead one of the three Red Cross hostages by 1400 (0600 GMT) if security troops did not pull back.

But there has so far been no word on the fate of the hostages.
