Ironically, while right-wingers are rolling their eyes at Patrick Gaspard's involvement with Scozzafava's campaign and worrying out about ACORN's plan to protest the election results tomorrow, the Nutroots are just plain scared about possible ACORN ballot fraud in NY-23. I guess the Republican elite figured that ACORN corruption didn't matter because it was their ACORN corruption until Sunday.
It's not like this is a really important race or anything, for both Democrats and Republicans going forward.
On Sunday, the Hoffman campaign expressed concern about Working Families Party voter fraud in the district to a conference call with bloggers. Jimmie Bise of Sundries Shack says that, "given the number of times the Working Families Party and ACORN came up, it's clear that the Hoffman campaign is concerned about the possibility of serious shenanigans from one or the other group, or both."
On the call, Rob Ryan of Hoffman's campaign said:
"A special prosecutor was named at the end of September, because Working Families Party was involved in the forgery of absentee ballots, and they caught them red-handed. This is something we are afraid of here in the district. We are afraid of the unions coming in, of ACORN coming in, of Move-on types coming in, and we want to see a clean legal election. We know if that's the case, we win. Our Chief counsel is going to court tomorrow morning in Essex county. The ballots that are being counted...the voting machines could not have them added, so there are paper ballots out there, and we do not want paper ballots being counted at the polling places. We want them counted with the absentee ballots at the board of elections."We'll know that they system is totally corrupt if paper ballots are counted. Of if you hear about the word "cobra" being thrown around a lot.
Other election news that's not really scary:
- Get paid to vote in Ohio!
- 3 million registered voters are dead and 12 million more are ineligible, so just 2% of registered voters.
- Obama visited two NJ cities to facilitate voter fraud and help Corzine get elected. (Below.)
