Obama's Valentine's Day dinner at Table Fifty-Two restaurant in Chicago

President Obama and First Lady Michelle are celebrating Valentines Day Saturday night in Chicago at the Table Fifty-Two restaurant at 52 W. Elm St. The co-owner and executive chef of the restaurant is Art Smith, the one time personal chef for Oprah Winfrey. The Obama family flew from Washington to O'Hare Friday night on Air Force One for the Presidents Day weekend.

President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, spent Valentine's Day at an upscale restaurant Saturday in their hometown.

The Obamas are spending a long weekend in Chicago for their first real break since he became president on Jan. 20. Aides say they have no public events.

The couple left their Hyde Park home on Chicago's south side Saturday evening for a quiet dinner at Table 52, a restaurant owned by Oprah Winfrey's former chef, Art Smith. The menu features traditional Southern fare such as grits and sausage and catfish jambalaya.

IT COSTS THE US TAXPAYERS HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS -( $246,908 TO BE PRECISE -- NOT INCLUDING DINNER ) SO THAT OBAMA COULD AVOID SPENDING HIS FIRST VALENTINE'S DAY - AND FIRST "PRESIDENT'S WEEKEND HOLIDAY" AS PRESIDENT IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

• IS IT RIGHT THAT OBAMA SHOULD SPEND AN EXTRA FEW HUNDRED THOUSAND MORE OF OUR MONEY FOR HIS WEEKEND PLEASURE!?

• BOTTOM-LINE: POLITICIANS LIKE OBAMA DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT HOW THEY SPEND OUR MONEY.
