THE FACTS ON ALL THE MAJOR ISSUES VINDICATE CONSERVATISM

• IRAQ:

The Surge worked. The War - all three phases (the anti-Saddam War; the Sectarian War, the al Qaeda War) - has been a great success by any historical measure. We liberated 25 million people from one of history's worst genocidal tyrants.

NO THANKS TO THE DEMOCRATS. NO THANKS TO THE LIBERALS. NO THANKS TO THE LEFT. NO THANKS TO THE MSM.

• THE FINANCIAL MELTDOWN:

This was ignited when the real estate bubble burst and Fannie Mae went bust. The GOP and conservatives had been warning about this since 2001 and had submitted bills to prevent it. But these bills - all proposing MORE oversight and MORE regulations - were blocked by the Democrats.

In other words, we got the crisis THANKS TO THE DEMOCRATS, THANKS TO THE LIBERALS, THANKS TO THE LEFT AND THANKS TO THE MSM.

• GLOBAL WARMING:

The fact is that the earth hasn't warmed since 2001, and all evidence points toward us being in a cooling phase. The AGW alarmists are wrong. And if enacted, their policies would not only have ZERO EFFECT on average global temperature, they'd reduce economic growth and extend global poverty.

I hope we avoid these onerous LEFT-WING policies - but McCain and Obama both believe in the fantasy that global-warming is man-made.

If we do escape them, it will be NO THANKS TO THE DEMOCRATS. NO THANKS TO THE LIBERALS. NO THANKS TO THE LEFT. NO THANKS TO THE MSM.

Our thanks will go to thermometers and courageous conservatives who refused to be cowed by the left and their PC-POLICE.

• THE HEALTH INSURANCE CRISIS:

This is - like AGW - a crisis that isn't. The so-called "45 million un-insured" are composed of the following:

• 20% illegal immigrants;
• 20% youngish folks who can afford insurance but choose not to buy it (and instead spend that money on personal entertainment, or... whatever);
• 20% temporarily unemployed and between insurance coverage;
• leaving about 8 million.

That's 8 million out of 300 million. And they are mostly covered by existing programs which have funds allocated and unclaimed.

There is no crisis - at least not one warranting an overhaul of the overall system. Especially not an overhaul which will expand government's role ion health decisions and the size of AFSCME or the SEIU.

IF YOU LIKE THE WAY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RAN THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY, THEN YOU''RE GONNA LOVE HOW THEY RUN THE HEALTH INDUSTRY!

If we can avoid these boondoggles it will be NO THANKS TO THE DEMOCRATS. NO THANKS TO THE LIBERALS. NO THANKS TO THE LEFT. NO THANKS TO THE MSM.

• ENERGY:

To bring the price down we need to expand supplies from EVERY source. We have finally opened up the OCS - NO THANKS TO THE DEMOCRATS. NO THANKS TO THE LIBERALS. NO THANKS TO THE LEFT. NO THANKS TO THE MSM.

Next up: opening up ANWR and nationalizing the nuclear power plant and clean-coal power plant licensing process so states can't block what the nation needs.

BOTTOM-LINE:

These are the major issues of the day.

On every single one the Left is on the wrong side of history.

For this they should be punished at the polls.

We should be tossing out Pelosi, Reid and not electing Obama.

If we vote with our heads, then this is what will happen.

Don't be duped by the smooth-talking utopianists promising you a government solution.

They are wrong on the issues, wrong on the facts. Their success threatens our well-being and the well-being of future generations.
