Within hours after a park was dedicated in honor of his comatose father and former prime minister Ariel Sharon, Gilad Sharon made headlines Sunday when it was revealed that police have been investigating the younger Sharon son for two years under suspicion that illicit campaign funds passed through his hands.Why am I not surprised that Sharon's second son could be just as crooked as he or even the first son, Omri? We'll just have to see how this develops, won't we?
According to Channel 2 news, Gilad Sharon is believed to have received approximately $1.8 million in illicit funds from businessman Ariyeh Ganger, and later to have redirected the funds to his father's election campaign.
