French President Nicolas Sarkozy had canvassed the U.S. and other European countries for their support for Strauss-Kahn _ even though the Socialist earlier said it would be a "betrayal" for him to join Sarkozy's new government. Sarkozy was more generous.
"He is France's candidate, but I hope he will be Europe's candidate," he said.
STRAUSS-KAHN IS A CORRUPT PIECE OF CRAP: HE WAS FORCED TO RESIGN AS FINANCE MINISTER OF FRANCE WHEN IT BECAME CLEAR HE WAS GUILTY OF THE SAME ILLEGAL POLITICAL PARTY FUND-RAISING SCHEMES AS CHIRAC, BUT... HE GOT AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE BOTH PARTIES WERE DOING IT.
IT ALSO CAME OUT DURING THE INVESTIGATION THAT STRAUSS-KAHN WAS GIVEN VIDEO-TAPED PROOF OF CHIRAC'S CORRUPTION, BUT NEVER GAVE IT TO LEGAL AUTHORITIES BECAUSE THE SOCIALISTS WERE DOING IT, AND BECAUSE OF THE OLD-BOY "ENA" NETWORK, (ECOLE NATIONAL D'ADMINISTRATION - THE UNIVERSITY THAT HAS PRODUCED ALL OF FRANCE'S LEADERS... UNTIL SARKOZY).
HIS APPOINTMENT OS MORE PROOF THAT THE EU IS A SOCIALIST QUAGMIRE AND THAT SARKOZY IS BECOMING A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. SARKO SHOULD HAVE PUSHED FOR A HAYEKIAN CANDIDATE, NOT A MARXIST/REDISTRIBUTIONIST.
