Jerusalem Police on Thursday announced that the deployment of more than 3,000 police officers throughout the Old City and east Jerusalem would continue Friday, and access to the Temple Mount would be restricted, amid fears that prayers there could give way to renewed clashes.

The heightened police presence has been in effect since last Friday, when tensions in the area began to build and sporadic clashes erupted inside the Old City’s Muslim Quarter and in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras al-Amud.

Since then, the thousands of police and Border Police officers, special forces and undercover agents have been working overtime, especially on Tuesday, when rioting in the Old City and east Jerusalem erupted on levels unseen in months, if not years.

Arab Muslims have every reason to believe that violence works; that's why they continue to use it.

Remember: Israel has agreed to direct talks without precondition; it's the Arab Muslim who refuse to this.

Of course they refuse: violence and the threats of violence work better for them than talks.

Especially with Obama and the EU Quartet shilling for them.

... on Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said lawlessness "now rules in eastern regions of Ukraine as a result of the actions of fighters of the so-called 'Right Sector,' with the full connivance" of Ukraine's new authorities. 

Right Sector is a grouping of several far-right and nationalist factions whose activists were among the most radical and confrontational of the three-month-long demonstrations in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, which eventually ousted President Viktor Yanukovych. The Kremlin statement also claimed Russian citizens trying to enter Ukraine have been turned back at the border by Ukrainian officials.

Pro-Russia sentiment is high in Ukraine's east and there are fears Russia could seek to incorporate that area as well. Obama has warned that the referendum in Crimea would violate international law. But on Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin made it clear that he supports the vote, in phone calls with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Minister David Cameron.

Seattle Times Editor: 'Hitler's Demands Were Not Unreasonable'

Seattle Times editorial writer Bruce Ramsey, in an effort to defend Barack Obama against President Bush's "appeasement" speech, actually ends up defending Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, and the Anschluss (the annexation of Austria): Bush, and His Use of `Appeasement'.

Democrats are rebuking President Bush for saying in his speech to the Knesset, here, that to "negotiate with terrorists and radicals" is "appeasement." The Democrats took it as a slap at Barack Obama. What bothers me is the continual reference to Hitler and his National Socialists, particularly the British and French accommodation at the Munich Conference of 1938.

What Hitler was demanding was not unreasonable. He wanted the German-speaking areas of Europe under German authority. He had just annexed Austria, which was German-speaking, without bloodshed. There were two more small pieces of Germanic territory: the free city of Danzig and the Sudetenland, a border area of what is now the Czech Republic.

We live in an era when you do not change national borders for these sorts of reasons. But in 1938 it was different. Germany's eastern and western borders had been redrawn 19 years before-and not to its benefit. In the democracies there was some sense of guilt with how Germany had been treated after World War I. Certainly there was a memory of the "Great War." In 2008, we have entirely forgotten World War I, and how utterly unlike any conception of "The Good War" it was. When the British let Hitler have a slice of Czechoslovakia, they were following their historical wisdom: avoid war. War produces results far more horrible than you expected. War is a bad investment. It is not glorious. Don't give anyone an excuse to start one.

Our Lefty copped a lot of flak over those words and he has now revised them somewhat. As with a lot of Leftist writing, what he has said is half true. A lot of people of the prewar era DID think Hitler's demands were reasonable. To them, he was after all merely attempting to regain a small portion of the German territory that had been lost to Germany in the aftermath of WWI.

But people who thought that way were wishful thinkers. They were ignoring evidence that they did not want to see. As far back as Volume I chapter 4 of Mein Kampf, Hitler had made clear his intention to grab for Germany the territory of other nations. But people just did not want to believe that he really meant it.

Similarly today, President Ahmadinejad of Iran has made clear his intention of wiping the "tumour" of Israel off the map but again people are blocking their ears. Again they just do not want to believe it -- even though Ahmadinejad has expressed himself most forcefully on the matter. It is clear that our Leftist editor thinks it is defensible for Obama to join the blocked-ears brigade but we must all fervently hope that whoever wins next November WILL learn from history. The clearly expressed aggressive intentions of extremists DO have to be taken seriously and prepared against.

SEVEN BIG LIES AND WHY THEY TELL THEM

LIE #1: AGW: global warming and climate change are man-made.

Thirty years ago the Left said were headed into an ice age; now they tell us we're headed into a catastrophic warming. In both cases the fault according to the Left was with industrial First World and the solution was taxes and redistribution.

Redistribution of First World wealth has been a long held goal of the Left. That's why they tell this lie.

LIE #2: The al Aksa Mosque is on the Temple Mount.

Islam in general and Arabs in particular - specifically so-called "Palestinians" - argue that they have a real claim on Jerusalem because of the al Aksa mosque.

ONE PROBLEM: the al Aksa mosque can't have been the one on the Mount as the one on the Mount wasn't built until after Mohamed died. Therefore, the claim is BOGUS. A lie.

Why did they make it up?

To help them achieve their long held goal of eradicating Israel. Anti-Semites think Jews and Israel are more trouble than we're worth.

Those who see Israel-Arab conflict as the key to global jihad must willfully ignore the jihad in Thailand, Philippines, Pakistan. Afghanistan, the Buddhas if Bamiyan, Chechnya, Morocco, Algeria, Kenya, Sudan, Yemen, India and so on. Global Jihad is a primary if not central proactive doctrine of Islam and always has been; it's how Mohamed expanded Islam's reach, and how it grew over the ages: though war and terror.

Sacrificing Israel now - or Afghanistan or Iraq at some point down the road- will no more bring an end to global jihad then giving Hitler Sudetenland ended WW2. In fact. it made Hitler bolder.

If you want MORE global jihad, then pressure Israel to cede to their enemies.

LIE #3: Trade deficits are bad.

The Left essentially argues that every nation has to sell exactly what they buy from overseas.

This is a nutty proposition.

In fact, there is no such thing as a trade deficit. It's a heuristic device invented by anti-trade forces to create a sense of danger from trade where there is NONE. In fact, trade is one of the things which improves living standards.

LOOK AT IT THIS WAY: When a company buys something from... China, let's say, they trade money for goods. It's an even-steven trade, there's no imbalance at all. It matters not how many times it's done; it's always a fair trade without a penny of imbalance. They get money; we get goods.

SO WHY DO THEY LIE? SIMPLE:

If trade is seen as good, then Leftists and unions can't agitate for laws to end trade or stifle it, so they carp about trade deficits and imbalances.

LIE #4: Healthcare costs are skyrocketing and we aren't getting any increased health benefits.

If you want to pay the same price for 1970 healthcare, then you can: just accept 1970 healthcare.

Not interested? You shouldn't be. Health care has improved every DAY for the last 40 years. And our health has too: we live longer now than ever before - AND CONTRARY TO WHAT THE LEFT TELLS YOU, ACCORDING TO THE LATEST CDC STATISTICS, WE LIVE LONGER THAN EUROPEANS. And we have better survival rates for most major diseases. And we don't wait as long for care.

If it ain't broke, then don't fix it. SURE: we could improve our system: cap medical malpractice awards; allow interstate competition for heath insurance; give families the same tax break as businesses. These simple reforms would bring down costs.

The people who want to make healthcare a right really want the government to have the power to control healthcare. But because your health is a PERSONAL matter - and not a public health matter - this is a bad thing for you.

A politician designed, bureaucrat run, taxpayer financed system will not put your well-being ahead of the government's. That's tyranny.

LIE #5: War never solved anything.

Nothing except slavery, nazism, fascism, communism. and jihadism. If you embrace pacifism, then you must be willing to live as a slave under a tyranny.

If you love having your God given rights - and want all your brothers and sisters everywhere to have them too - them you must expect war to be a part of the solution: tyrants don't give up without a fight.

If you want peace at any cost, then you will have peace at the cost of your freedom.

LIE #6 America in not an exceptional country and doesn't deserve any extra respect, power or responsibility in international affairs.

America is the freest, richest, most diverse nation of Earth. We saved the world from tyranny three times, and are leading the battle a fourth time. There is no other nation capable of making this fight.

That's exceptional.

Those who say the USA shouldn't be allowed to treated as exceptional really just don't want us to win. They are not for egalitarianism between nations for abstract reasons; they are on the other side.

LIE #7: Disarmament makes the world safer.

This is tantamount to arguing that gun control - taking guns away from innocent law-abiding people - reduces crime. NO WHERE HAS THIS WORKED. And it's ludicrous to believe that it could. First of all, criminal are gong to get guns anyway. Second of all, law-abiding people with guns are actually a deterrent to crime. Which house will a criminal burglarize, the one marked "UNARMED", or the one marked "PROUD MEMBER OF THE NRA"?

Time after time - throughout history - rogue regimes and rogue nations have proven over and over again that they are not to be trusted with treaties limiting arms. Hitler broke his treaties, North Korea broke her treaties, Iran is breaking hers, now. These rogues are like criminals and shouldn't be trusted to follow the law.

It is folly to willingly disarm as our foes strengthen, - DEADLY FOLLY, AS IT GUARANTEES MORE ADVENTURISM BY YOUR FOES AND MORE CASUALTIES AS A RESULT.

The stronger one appears then the less likely one is to be attacked. The more powerful militarily the West is, the safer we all are.

Those who desire to reduce our strength make us less safe.

Egypt is part of the Gaza blockade, yet they get ZERO criticism, even though they too have a wall with Gaza. The Turks would not allow Kurdish terrorists to rearm. Russians fight Chechen terrorists more brutally than Israelis fight Hamas, yet they get very little criticism. The USA kills more civilians collaterally in Pakistan and Afghanistan than Israel does in Gaza or Lebanon. There's been a thousand times more killing in Africa and Sri Lanka and India, but they're not targeted for international criticism.

ONLY THE JEWS. That's antisemitism.

It's dangerous appeasement - at best:

Describing Israel as a problem to the USA and the west is like describing the Czechs as a problem for the West in 1939.

The problem then was Hitler, not the Czechs who ONLY wanted to keep the Sudetenland as part of Czechoslovakia.

The true problem now is global jihad and the axis of evil: Iran, Syrian, North Korea, Hamas, Hizballah - with direct aid from Russia and China, and indirect aid from the jihado-leftist alliance - of which the Obama administration is a part.

Here's why Obama can only be accurately described as part of the jihado-leftist alliance:

• Obama calls the successful Egypto-Israeli blockade of the jihadists "unsustainable" -

• and calls for a new weapons-interdiction process like the one in southern Lebanon based on UNSCR 1559

• but UNSCR 1559 has failed utterly to take arms away from Hizballah

• and has failed to prevent new and more weaponry from entering southern Lebanon and getting into the hands of Hizballah.

• As a result, Hizballah now has missiles from Iran - that they got via Syria.

Obama and the jihado-leftist alliance are not so dumb or misinformed as to not know this; therefore, they must seek the same regime of interdiction in order to rearm Hamas (who run Gaza as an international extortion racket!)

• Iran's IRG has announced that they like the islamist AKP-run Turkey will now escort another flotilla.

• This is not in Western interests.

• Neither is having a Russo-Iranian port in Mediterranean.

• Neither is having a nuclear Iran.

And Obama is enabling all three.

Obama was NOT elected to follow these policies: when Obama ran for office he said he would give Iran until January.

It is now June, and Iran's nuke program has only steadily grown, as have Iran's air defenses - courtesy of Russia.

Yet instead of getting increasingly tough on Iran - and Hizballah and Hamas - Obama has gotten increasingly tough on Israel:

• Obama called the blockade "unsustainable" - (the fact that the 5 other ships in last week's Flotilla were taken peacefully, and that yesterday the Rachel Corrie was escorted to Ashdod peacefully proves Obama is wrong: that the blockade is sustainable)
  

• Obama called for Israel to give up its nuclear deterrence

• Obama has consistently treated Netanyahu shabbily and has made sure this has been seen around the world.

Obama might as well working for the enemy - for the AKP and the IHH and their allies in Hamas and Al Qaeda

YES: Obama might as well be working for those who attacked us on 9/11.

Yes: actually, Obama's policies are threatening and damaging the USA and the West.

THIRD PARTY NATIONS' RECOGNITION OF A "PALESTINIAN STATE" REVEALS DEEP ANTISEMITISM

AP: Aw: Palestinians hope for a state by summer

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and several of his top aides have said repeatedly they are pursuing alternatives, arguing that there is little hope at this stage that meaningful negotiations on the terms of statehood can resume.

The main fallback strategy involves seeking recognition from as many countries as possible of a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem, the territories Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast War.

Recently, Brazil and Argentina granted such recognition, and Palestinian negotiator Nabil Shaath told reporters Saturday that he expects three more countries, including Uruguay, to follow suit.

He said he also expects three more European countries to upgrade Palestinian representation in coming weeks, after Norway took that step earlier this week. Spain, Portugal and France have already done so.

While they're at it, why don't they recognize the independent state of Chechnya, Catalonia, Basque, Turkish Kurdistan? [And so on...]

WHY!?

It's the antisemitism stupid.

The fact is that Kurds and Basques and Catalans all have a VASTLY SUPERIOR claim for independent nationhood than so-called "Palestinians" These other ethnic groups all have their own languages and culture; the "Palestinian" Arabs do not - they are Arabs, PERIOD.

Once again, Jews are being treated in a way no other people on Earth are treated - or ever have been.

BESIDES: There is a "Palestinian" Arab state - and has been for nearly 70 years; it's called Jordan. Jordan was created by the British by chopping of 80% of British Palestine and giving it to an Arab Monarch from the Arabian peninsula who was sympathetic to the Brits. There is no such culture as Jordanian and no language called Jordanian and no history that can be call led "Jordanian" that predates this arbitrary act by Britain.

Look it up.

AND ANOTHER THING: This will only encourage more terror from the Arabs and Muslims and Kurds, et al, etc because it rewards terror.

Sigh.

And it also reveal deep self-loathing by these Western nations, nations trapped by postmodern leftism into thinking Western Colonialism was bad and needs to be compensated by sacrificing Israel, and by withdrawing from the Third World - the "unconnected wolrd".

Sacrificing the Sudetenland didn't stop Hitler, and giving Arabs yet another nation ( and a springboard for more terror against Israel --- like Gaza and Southern Lebanon) won't stop global jihad/WW4.

SIGH.

To end Third World poverty and ignorance we need to eradicate socialism and Islam - and expand industrialization and capitalism and trade - all the things the Left hates. PROOF HERE.

Obama's "Arab Spring" = Chamberlain's "Peace For Our Time"

Today, as the final door shuts on the Islamic Totalitarianism of Eygpt, we find that our President set us up for this mess, this failure.

Remember that when Neville Chamberlain came back from meeting with Hitler and declared, "Peace for our time," after he gave up the Sudetenland, there was an interim of about six months before Hitler went back on his word and invaded the whole of Czechoslovakia.

Likewise, President Obama has, since 2011, been championing the Arab Spring as a means to Peace in the Islamic world. 

The fear has always been that this Arab Spring path to Democracy would lead to just another Islamic government, in the mode of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Today we find that the Muslim Brotherhood are hiring militias to beat people who oppose the new Constitution.

I predicted this last week, saying:

The next two months are going to be historic, and will likely include violence in the street by Islamic Militias "loosely tied" to the Muslim Brotherhood. These Militias will act as Morality Police, beginning the enforcement of Sharia through intimidation, and outright beat-downs, of protestors. 

In three months from now, the Arab Spring will be fully revealed for what it is, and has always been, since it's Muslim Brotherhood/Obama-inspired inception; The Sharia Sewer. 

Egypt will look more like Iran than it will resemble anything heretofore known as a Democracy. And Obama will still be proclaiming his victorious policy in helping further the "Arab Spring".

Today, Egypt is Iran, and Obama's Arab Spring is the equivalent of Chamberlain's "Peace for our time."

Muslim Brotherhood “Paying Gangs To Rape Women And Beat Men” Protesting Against Morsi

Egypt’s ruling party is paying gangs of thugs to sexually assault women protesting in Cairo’s Tahrir Square against President Mohamed Morsi, activists said. 

They also said the Muslim Brotherhood is paying gangs to beat up men who are taking part in the latest round of protests, which followed a decree by President Morsi to give himself sweeping new powers. 

Around 200,000 people gathered yesterday in Tahrir Square, the heart of last year’s revolution which toppled President Hosni Mubarak. 

Large marches from around Cairo flowed into the square, chanting ‘Constitution: Void!’ and The people want to bring down the regime.’ 

But amid the calls for democracy a sinister threat has emerged. 

Magda Adly, the director of the Nadeem Centre for Human Rights, said that under Mubarak, the Government paid thugs to beat male protestors and sexually assault women. 

‘This is still happening now,’ she told The Times. ‘I believe thugs are being paid money to do this … the Muslim Brotherhood have the same political approaches as Mubarak,’ she said. 

One protestor, Yasmine, told the newspaper how she had been in the square filming the demonstrations for a few hours when the crowd suddenly turned. 

Before she knew what was happening, about 50 men had surrounded her and began grabbing her breasts. She said they ripped off her clothes, starting with her headscarf and for nearly an hour, indecently assaulted her with their hands.

CNN: Obama toughens his talk on Iran

President Obama sharpened his language on Iran and stressed the urgency of overhauling the health care system at a news conference Tuesday.

"The United States and the international community have been appalled and outraged by the threats, beatings and imprisonments of the last few days," the president said, adding that he strongly condemns "these unjust actions."

OBAMA IS CONDEMNING THE HORRIFIC VIOLENCE BUT STOPPING SHORT OF ATTACKING THE CURRENT REGIME AND CALLING FOR REGIME CHANGE.

THIS IS WRONG AND IMMORAL. AND A BAD STRATEGY.

The appeasers cry, Peace, Peace – but there is no peace. And no "religion of peace", either. Perhaps they say "religion of peace" because they believe saying it will help us avoid a global religious war. But that war has actually already begun. Gales have already swept across the seas to our shores bringing to our ears the clash of resounding arms, our eyes the horror of riots, beheadings and bombs.

And our brothers and sisters in the armed forces and special forces have long been in the field!

We have been lately told by the current ruling elites that we have to choose between a left or right - between their "smart diplomacy" and our clumsy "war-mongering".

But in this global war, there is no such thing as a left or right. There's only "UP" or DOWN". "UP" is humanity's age-old dream: maximal individual freedom consistent with law and order, or "DOWN" the ash heap of totalitarianism.

The same folks who want us to trade our "risky" freedom for the safe soup kitchen of the welfare state have told us they have a solution for peace without victory. They call their policy "smart diplomacy", but that's just another way to say accommodation and appeasement.

And they say if we'll only avoid any direct "islamophobic" confrontation with the enemy here and abroad, that the enemy will forget their evil ways and learn to love us.

All of us who oppose this policy are indicted as racists, islamophobes and warmongers. They say we offer simple answers to complex, nuanced problems. But perhaps there is a simple answer—not an easy answer—but a simple one: If you and I have the courage to continue to tell our elected officials that we want our national policy based on what we know in our hearts is both morally right and at the very heart and soul of who we are as a nation.

That's what we tea partiers are all about, and why the appeasers have been attacking us with everything they got - including the IRS.

We mustn't buy a false security and phony freedom from the threat of the terrorists' bombs by committing an immorality so great as saying to our allies and to billions of human beings now terrorized on every continent - by over 20,000 attacks since 9/11, "Give up your dreams of freedom and self-determination because to save our own skins, we're going to accommodate your slave masters."

That would be a rejection of our founding principles and a disgrace - and as Alexander Hamilton said, "A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one."

We must reject the false dichotomy of the appeasers: There's no argument over the choice between peace and war - we'd all prefer peace. The choice is between liberty and tyranny.

What is more, there's only one guaranteed way we can have peace—and we can have it in the next second—and that is by surrendering. If we surrender to our enemies and convert from our way of life to theirs, then we will have peace.

There is a risk in any course we follow other than surrendering.

Appeasement is merely surrendering a little bit at a time. Our well-meaning, appeasing, liberal friends refuse to face this fact.

They refuse to accept that their policy of so-called "smart diplomacy", accommodation and appeasement doesn't really give us peace and avoid war; it really only means we will be surrendering our liberty slowly instead of fighting for it.

We have a rendezvous with destiny.  A choice:

We'll either preserve for our children and our children's children Western civilization by fighting with every means necessary, or we'll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

Can a thousand years of darkness really be what the appeasers wish for? Would the liberals really have this for themselves and their children and their children's children? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of 1000 years of islamist-phobia, and dhimmi chains?

I know the course appeasers will take - they took it with Sudetenland, which only emboldened the enemy, made them stronger and the inevitable war worse. The appeasers have sought to do it again by appeasing the Muslim Brotherhood and the Taliban and Iran and Turkey and Fatah and so on.

But as for us, Americans true to our founding principles, we refuse to take that course. We say: Give us liberty or give us death!
