The left is busy criminalizing words and making thoughtcrimes out of words and flags they don't like.
Husband, wife, male, female, masculine, feminine, mensroom, womensroom... islamic terror... they have a lot of taboo words - they think they can change the world by outlawing these and similar words.
It's a form of magical thinking.
Like if we call a Cherokee person an indian we have commited a culture crime. Ditto naming a team after an indian tribe or tribal leader. They even now deny there is any such thing as a "sanctuary city".
They coin words for the same reason: teabagger, climate denier, rethuglican, faux news, inauthentic black, undocumented immigrant, carbon footprint, apartheid Israel, rape epidemic/culture of rape, triggering events and microaggressions and so on.
Like utopianists who went before them, they are totalitarians, and totalitarians seek total control - even of our language.
Why are leftists totalitarians who persecute people who disagree with their agenda? Because when you believe you can create a utopia then you are willing to eradicate anything and anyone and even any word that gets in your way. Any way you can.
Believing utopia is possible is in itself a form of magical thinking.
This is what drives the left and the islamists, and it's what make them both dangerous.
