"In fact, Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest, possibly the first grand dragon of the Ku Klux Klan, spoke at the 1868 Democratic National Convention."MORE ON THIS HERE.
DEMOCRATS AND LIBERALS LIKE TO THINK OF THEMSELVES AS THE TRUE DEFENDERS OF EVERYTHING GOOD AND THE ONLY PEOPLE OPPOSED TO EVERYTHING BAD.
WHICH IS BS; IT'S THE HIGH HORSE OBAMA THINKS HE SITS ON.
THE FACT IS THAT SOCIALISTS KILLED MORE PEOPLE IN THE 20TH CENTURY THAN CHRISTENDOM DID IN THE PRECEDING 19 CENTURIES COMBINED.
THE FACT IS THAT THE CRUSADES WERE A COUNTER-ATTACK AGAINST THE MUSLIM INVADER/AGGRESSOR; THEREFORE BLAMING CHRISTIANS FOR THE CASUALTIES IS LIKE BLAMING FDR FOR THE CASUALTIES INCURRED DURING WW2.
AND 350 YEARS OF THE CHRISTIAN INQUISITION KILLED FEWER PEOPLE THAN WERE KILLED BY ISLAMISTS ON 9/11.
THEREFORE, OBAMA'S EQUIVALENCE IS FALSE.
WORSE: IT'S A FALSEHOOD WHICH GIVES AMMUNITION TO OUR ENEMY.
OBAMA ALWAYS GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO DEFEND EVIL SCUM - LIKE TRAYVON, BROWN, IRAN, THE PALI'S, THE TALIBAN, THE FERGUSON RIOTERS, AND SO ON...
AND OBAMA ALWAYS SEEMS TO GIVE OUR ALLIES, AND THOSE CONFRONTING EVIL, THE SHAFT:
- HE DISSES BIBI ALL THE TIME,
- REMOVED NMD FROM EASTERN EUROPE;
- ATTACKED THE BOSTON POLICE
- AND THE NYPD AND THE FERGUSON POLICE;
- OVERTHREW KADDAFY WHILE HE WAS AIDING OUR WAR AGAINST AL QAEDA;
- HE IS RELEASING GITMO DETAINEES - AND TRADED 5 OF THEM FOR A DESERTER.

I have a question (not a criticism of this blog post):
Didn't BHO say "Unless we get on our high horse" instead of "Lest we get on our high horse"?
I swear that I heard "unless" on the video I watched. But last night on the video snip on FNC, I heard "lest," which would be the correct word to use in that context.
written version show he said lest.
Reliapundit,
Isn't that interesting?
It's easy to dub "lest" for "unless."
As I see it, "unless" doesn't make logical sense? Am I wrong?
PS: I didn't watch the speech live.
Start at time marker 2:00 here. I hear "unless"!
definitely said "and lesT"
I turned up the volume, and now I hear "An' les'" -- with maybe a soft "t" at the end of "les'."
So, maybe he did say "And lest" with a bit of slurring, for which he sometimes has a penchant.
