POPE FRANCIS COMPREHENDS NEITHER ISLAM NOR CAPITALISM

What a sad case we have here. Pope Francis has proven himself potentially more disappointing than Pope Bendict. First, he's sanctioned Islam (Hat tip: Atlas Shrugs):

253. In order to sustain dialogue with Islam, suitable training is essential for all involved, not only so that they can be solidly and joyfully grounded in their own identity, but so that they can also acknowledge the values of others, appreciate the concerns underlying their demands and shed light on shared beliefs. We Christians should embrace with affection and respect Muslim immigrants to our countries in the same way that we hope and ask to be received and respected in countries of Islamic tradition. I ask and I humbly entreat those countries to grant Christians freedom to worship and to practice their faith, in light of the freedom which followers of Islam enjoy in Western countries! Faced with disconcerting episodes of violent fundamentalism, our respect for true followers of Islam should lead us to avoid hateful generalisations, for authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.

Seriously? Has he not read Sura 47:4, which says, "So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks..."? How can he let down millions of Christians (and Jews) across the world this way?

And this week, he's let everybody down further, by claiming "rampant capitalism" is the source of the world's ills (hat tip: Big Peace). Why can't he distinguish between different forms of capitalism and understand that crony capitalism is the real bad form of capitalism?

I'm sure plenty wanted to hope this pope would make a good asset in dealing with badness in the world. But alas, this was probably to be expected. It's very sad, because it only leads to division, and that's not what we need now.

• IF MOHAMED PBUH THE PROPHET PRACTICED AUTHENTIC ISLAM, THEN SO DO THE JIHADISTS. 

• EITHER MOHAMED PBUH UNDERSTOOD ISLAM, OR THE POPE DOES, THEY BOTH CAN'T BE RIGHT.

• I ACCEPT THE POPE'S KNOWLEDGE OF ROMAN CATHOLICISM TO BE AS GOOD AS ANY, BUT MOHAMED KNOWS ISLAM BETTER THAN THIS OR ANY POPE.

THE SOONER NON-MUSLIMS ACCEPT THAT JIHADIST EXTREMISM IS AT THE CORE OF ISLAM - AND NOT AN ALIEN INFECTION - THE SOONER WE CAN TAKE EFFECTIVE MEASURES TO DEFEND OUR LIVES, OUR CULTURE AND OUR CIVILIZATION.

BULLSHIT LIKE THE POPE IS PEDDLING ACTUALLY HELPS THE ENEMIES OF OUR CIVILIZATION.

IT IS TRAITOROUS TO OUR CIVILIZATION.
