CHINESE GOVERNMENT GIVE CASH SETTLEMENT TO FAMILY FOR GRISLY FORCED ABORTION

A grisly forced abortion in China has resulted in the family receiving a cash settlement and sparked a vibrant discussion over the state’s family planning policy. On Wednesday, the father of the aborted child said the local government agreed to pay $11,200. Authorities had already fired two officials, sanctioned another five and issued a formal apology. 

... Mr. Deng’s wife, Feng Jianmei, was forced in early June to undergo the abortion at seven months by chemical injection because the family could not afford the fine for having a second child. China limits ethnic Chinese families to one child but local authorities often allow a second if a fine is paid.


A picture of Ms. Feng, lying bloody and exhausted next to the aborted fetus, was widely shared on the Internet in China, forcing the government to react.

FORCED ABORTIONS PROBABLY HAPPENS A FEW HUNDRED TIMES A DAY WITHOUT THE VIDEO CAMERAS, SO WE DON'T HEAR ABOUT IT AND THERE AIN'T NO COMPENSATION.

THE ONE-CHILD POLICY IS A HORRIFIC INVASION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND IT'S GENOCIDAL.
