THE FRUITS OF APPEASEMENT: LIKE EGYPT, IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN AND YEMEN ARE ALL CRUMBLING

APPEASE AND APOLOGIZE AND ANNOUNCE TIMETABLES FOR WITHDRAWAL - AND FAIL TO NEGOTIATE TROOP AGREEMENTS.

HERE'S THE DIRECT RESULT:

1 - At least 20 police officers were gunned down in western Iraq early on Monday by dozens of gunmen masquerading as black-clad SWAT teams out to make a high-level arrest, local security officials said. 

2 -  The prospects for a long-term American strategic partnership with Afghanistan appeared to be dimming over the weekend, as negotiations foundered despite a new American willingness to move up the transfer of detention centers to the Afghans to as soon as six months from now, Afghan and American officials said.

3 - Yemeni officials say fierce fighting between government troops and al-Qaida militants in the country's south has killed at least 78 soldiers and 20 militants. 

Sunday's fighting erupted in Abyan province when the militants detonated several car bombs and overran a military post near Zinjibar.
