I SAW NEWT DELIVER HIS 21ST CENTURY CONTRACT FOR AMERICA.
IT WAS GREAT - AND SO WAS HE.
HE'S THE SMARTEST GUY IN THE RACE -AND ONE WITH PERHAPS THE BEST EXPERIENCE, TOO.
HE'S MAKE A GREAT PRESIDENT.
BUT HE'S NOT A VERY GOOD CANDIDATE. HE'S TOO PROFESSORIAL.
HE CANNOT INSPIRE A CROWD LIKE PALIN, OR CAIN.
HE CANNOT GET INDEPENDENTS TO VOTE FOR HIM LIKE MITT.
OR RAISE MONEY LIKE MITT ND PERRY AND PALIN.
IF PALIN ENDORSED HIM, THEN HE'D HAVE A CHANCE.
OUTSIDE OF THAT, THE BEST WE CAN HOPE FOR IS THAT THE NEXT POTUS PICKS HIM TO BE HIS CHIEF POLICY ADVISOR.

I have been following this VERY closely. This could be a game changer...I am quite impressed...I want to see his executive order list also...sounds very good. His numbers are going up as well.
With respect, I must disagree.
Gingrich is of low moral character. Witness his treatment of his wives. He told his first wife he was divorcing her when she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery. While lambasting Clinton in the press for his philandering with Monica Lewinsky, he was schtupping the congressional aide who became his present (third) wife.
Otherwise, I agree with you.
Ideologically, I like Newt.
I hate to say it, but I think Palin is just a narcissist. I have yet to see her do anything that did not serve her and her only.
And, I don't know if anything would make the public feel better about Newt.
Newt Gingrich is actually one of the most accomplished men in the last 30-40 years of American politics. As Speaker of the House during the Clinton era, he wielded more power, and was better at wielding it than most American Presidents. Certainly he is above Carter, Clinton, Bush (Elder), Ford, and Obama. My opinion is he beats Nixon, but just barely. And, of course, he does not beat Reagan, and I would place Bush II ahead of him.
How would you rank him?
