THE ARAB SPRING IS TO LIBERTY AS THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION WAS TO DEMOCRACY:
Russia's Marxist revolution didn't replace an aristocracy with a democracy.
Russia's Marxist revolution replaced the dictatorship of the aristocracy with the dictatorship of the proletarian - and that really meant the dictatorship of the Communist Party and that really meant the dictatorship of the politburo.
The so-called "Arab Spring" which seems to have toppled or is toppling dictators in Syria, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia is similarly no victory for democracy.
The rebels do not seek to replace their tyrants with democracy and pluralism and liberty. They seek to replace their secularized tyrants with islamicized ones who will rule according to sharia - and obeisance to iran.
This is a step backward and not progress.
The Arabs will not make progress until they abandon islam - which is antithetical to and incompatible democracy and liberty and pluralism.
This won't happen until the West get its courage up and embarks on enlightening Muslims all over the world about their faith, and proves to them its falseness.
HOW?
SIMPLE: By showing them that the koran is an error-filled hodgepodge of mis-truths, falsehoods and lies and a recipe for poverty and war, and their prophet a pedophile, a misogynist, and terrorist and a genocidal murderer who committed crimes against humanity and inspire countless others to follow suit.
