Looking over the golf standing over the last decade, one thing becomes clear: there is too much income inequality in professional golf - and something must be done about it!

President Obama - an avid golfer who has already played more gold than Bush did in two terms - and Democrats in Congress could pass a Comprehensive Golf Reform Act - call it OBAMAGOLF!

Most of the money is won by the top 20 players. The top 2% of the players win most of the purses and as a result they get most of the best most enriching endorsements.

Hundreds of extraordinary professional golfers make much too little compared to the amounts that the top 2% make. And the problem has gotten worse the last decade - YUP: during the Bush Years!

Something must be done about it. Here's what: From now on, all golf income is capped: the top 5% can't make more than 50x the bottom 5%. This will end income inequality.

Also, the players who shoot lower scores will now be handicapped and start with 5-10 additional strokes: this will give lower earning/higher shooting players a fair chance to win. Because it;'s unfair for a few players to win all the top tournaments.

We could also limit the number of tournaments the top players can play in - and blackout from TV coverage tournaments in which they appear for the final two rounds. This will give a disincentive to the players and tournament hosts to having top golfers.

This will level off the incomes and make the outcomes fairer.
